We had the best weekend at this home! The most comfortable beds we have ever slept on at a Vrbo. The house was perfect- had everything we needed in the location we wanted. The view from the living room was incredible— looking right out at the river. The pictures didn’t really show the living room seating so I was a bit nervous, but the couch comfortably sat our family of 5. House was stocked with all the basics and even had board games for our kids. Everything in the home was even more beautiful in person, and communication with the host was excellent too. We will definitely be coming back!

I am glad your family had a great time and hope you come back for your summer vacation as well 😀
Check-in was very easy and simple…we gave Chris a code and he made that the front door code! The location was great too…most everything we wanted to do was between 20-45 minutes from the Betsie River Home.We really enjoyed Frankfort and also the dinning around our location was great too!
Our stay was great. The cabin is nice, great layout, fully stocked and the property is beautiful! Just a few minutes from Crystal Mountain. This accommodated our family (4 adults and 2 kids) well, and it was a great value, especially compared to lodging at Crystal Mountain. Host was responsive and accommodating. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again next time we're in town.
The property was nice and quiet, surrounded by natures beauty, the pictures do not do it justice. The cabin was perfect, very clean, well kept, and simply beautiful. Chris is very pleasant and helpful. My family and I will for sure be back for another visit.
Everything was nice as advertised. Two improvements would include making the address visible from street ( may have been barried under snow pile) and disclose snow removal frequency and responsibility during winter months.

Good afternoon John I appreciate your response I did fire the snow plow guy as I learned why you were there that he plowed at 1:00 in the morning and I look back on the cameras and found he typically plowed it between 1:00 and 4:00 a.m. which is not acceptable and an Airbnb I just couldn't believe he would do that he was paid to shoveled to the door and he did not always do that so that was definitely a problem and has been dealt with I apologize for that. And yes the address was blocked from snow plow we haven't had snow like this in a few years so it has never been an issue before but I do know see I need to do something different again I appreciate your response hope to see you guys again
This is the perfect place for couple or family to experience MI. The cabin is newly remodeled and is very clean, organized, and comfortable. The Betsie River is in the backyard and you are surrounded by trees. I am an avid birdwatcher and enjoyed coffee on the back deck every morning while watching the birds. The kitchen is well-stocked with all you need to cook your own meals. There were plenty of dishes, flatware, pots/pans, coffeemaker, crock pot, and a very nice gas grill. The back deck has two lounger chairs along with a high top table and 4 chairs. Firepit in the backyard, too. Owner also provided towels and bedding. There is a gas station and grocery store nearby as well. We highly recommend staying at this property.

Mosquito Haven
This cabin has a nicely renovated main floor, bath and loft. The kitchen is well equipped and very workable.... though during our stay, the gas range did not work properly. The host insinuated that we bumped a burner off kilter....there was definitely something unsafe with it! The host is a bit defensive and takes several hours to respond to concerns. The description of amenities is a bit embellished too. LOTS of mosquitos, no "playground"...just a wet, mowed riverbank area. The "gym" is in the unfinished damp basement and consists of two pieces of equipment with leftover construction materials and weed/bug poisons nearby. There is also a "half" door that separates the basement from the main living area. Humid, musty air is constantly coming from the basement! The "guest house" is VERY close and can be noisy. Lastly....there is a RING doorbell, so the host can know when and who is coming and going. We did not like that!!!! A bit pricey for where and what it is.
The property was not clean. We spent a lot of time cleaning upon arrival. We picked up trash all over the property and emptied trash cans within the home. The property owner was present throughout our stay and made us very uncomfortable and made inappropriate statements about our service dog. We felt bullied as he was present and watched over our every move over the weekend claiming to be leveling a shed on property that was perfectly level. The owner sat in his truck with his dog at the entrance to his property watching everyday as we left and returned. We spent over 1,000 per kennel for our dogs that were kept inside when we departed yet he claimed we left loose and damaged his sliding glass door, yet our pets were maintained within their crates. He demanded that the whole door be replaced from paw prints on the glass yet failed to provide pictures of any actual damage. He provided drawling on the glass that he himself drew and said that there were scratches. Yet admitted that you could not see any damage, because of a reflection that should enhance and make any damage obviously apparent. He claimed damage on a door wall then changed his story to a glass door. We have stayed at dozens of places with our pets and have never experienced the discrimination or the accusations that we have here. In my professional opinion Chris is looking to take advantage of his guests whenever possible. We do not recommend staying here and regret that we did.

Is very disappointing Jeremy how you lied about everything in your review, none of this is actual other than the fact that your dog scratched my window(glass door wall) and after you left after telling me (you had a great time and everything was wonderful You absolutely love the place and the kids did too)My clean lady found the scratches on the window and I confronted you about it and now all of a sudden all this other crazy stuff happened which was not true. Obviously people can see all my other wonderful reviews and understand that you are upset that you were called out on damage you did and feel like you don't need to be accountable and then when a lash out and try and damage my reputation as a premier host. I don't need to be petty and complain about everything you did other than the blatant damage they requires money to be fixed and when VRBO contact you about it You said you shouldn't have to pay for damage Well that's not true. As stated you are not welcome back to the property.
