Bringing peace & comfort to a luxurious setting, Windsong Penthouse is a spacious 2 bedroom apt with added sofabed in the livingrm. On our large patio is a private pool, outdoor dining, and lounge all nestled in the jungle, surrounded by active wildlife on a cul-de-sac. Quiet street. A 10 minute drive to beaches, restaurants, the national park, the marina & cute downtown. Parking available. Below the penthouse is another floor with 2 studio apartments, one occupied by your hosts and their friendly dog Daisy.

The place was spectacular. A beautiful setting and a spacious, well adorned home with a private pool made for an incredible home during our stay in Manuel Antonio. Karen and Harry have thought of all the details you need to make for a great stay - from a well-stocked kitchen (we made good use of the blender) to kid's buckets and shovels for the beach to good quality hangers and towels for the bathrooms. We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend a stay here!

This penthouse was absolutely perfect. The massive veranda was the place that We woke up to and drank our coffee on every morning, watching monkeys, macaws, hummingbirds, green, iguanas in the trees… we actually saw more wildlife from this veranda than we saw in other parks. The air conditioning in the bedrooms was wonderful in the evenings but at time unnecessary. The shower was wonderful. And the pool was so nice that there were days where we didn’t go anywhere else. The house is a five minute drive to many restaurants, supermarkets, cafés, and bakeries. The hosts were extremely kind and responsive. I cannot say enough good things about this location. Because it’s high up, you have a view of the treetops that is just phenomenal.

The home was fine, but the ad listed air conditioning (a must for me) but the ad was deceptive in that there was only AC in the bedrooms but not in the rest of the house.Also, I would have liked to have know that you were not able to flush toilet paper down the toilet ( I have stayed at many places in Manuel Antonio where flushing toilet paper was not an issue) lastly, I would suggest a 4 wheel drive vehicle.

Sorry we didn't meet your expectations. Many people who stay here leave the bedroom doors open to circulate the cooler air and we've never had a complaint before. It is also very common that since all homes in the area are on septic tanks, people are asked not to flush and paper. Not just in homes but also in restaurants. It is very common. We would have been glad to assist you in your queries if you'd let us know during your visit. I wish you all the best in your future travels.

We really loved this place and would absolutely consider staying here again. The space itself was great. Clean, comfortable, and well laid out. The location in Manuel Antonio was excellent and made our time in Costa Rica even more enjoyable.The only reason this wasn’t a five star stay was the hot water situation. The breaker for the hot water tank flipped almost every time we took a shower, which meant stopping to reset it repeatedly. It was a pretty inconvenient issue during the stay and something future guests should not have to deal with.That said, we truly enjoyed the property overall and would return if this issue is resolved. Great space .

Quepos Stay

This property has it all. Fully equipped kitchen, private pool and a nice veranda deck. It makes you feel like you are in treehouse with nature. Birds and even some howler monkeys around.

Location was amazing to all the amenities that manual Antonia has to offer. Beaches were to die for. Food and culture in the area as well as the guides for tours were a step above anywhere else we jave been too. Will be back again

What a wonderful place. We cannot thank Karen & Henry enough for the hospitality and scheduling of our tours. Their suggestions were VERY helpful and were totally thrilled with everything. The house, deck and pool were amazing and only eclipsed by Daisy the wonder dog! As some others have said, you have everything we needed. We love to cook so the kitchen was well equipped! Arrived & Left Immediately

Unfortunately, the host had advised us she was unable to greet us. We were greeted upon arrival with bird droppings (pics available.) on the kitchen counter and spiders in the bedrooms. To our surprise, the listing stated there was air conditioning; it did not mention it was only in the bedrooms and the bedroom doors were to stay closed. This propterty was NOT billed as an Eco retreat. While we should have caught it in the house rule fine print, we were surprised that the house rules included no toilet paper could be flushed down the toilet; there was a small trash receptacle to depost the wipes. The great pic of the blue water Pool turned out to actually look like stagnent water with a ripped sail shade overhead. We felt it was not as advertised and were surprised that this was a VRBO property as we have had such great experiences elsewhere. We left and ate the cost, luckily staying elsewhere on short notice.

I am shocked to learn this was your experience. And honestly I am saddened that your stay coincided with my trip back to Canada for a wedding. If we had been there, you would never have encountered anything like this. The pool is cleaned once a week, the sails are not ripped, rather they are two together as pictured. As to the issue with toilet paper, this is common throughout the country as all are on septic systems. It is also common for AC to be localized in bedrooms, only hotels have central air. However I don’t want to sound like I’m making excuses. I wish you had communicated your concerns but more than that I want to say I’m sorry.
