Lovely house with all the amenities. Location is convenient for dining in Fort Meyers then going to Sanibel or Captiva beaches. Communication with host was excellent and so fast. My favorite thing was the varied birds that were in the back yard- white and black ibis, greater cormorant, ducks and coots.

Girls golf trip

It was very convenient to the course we played. We enjoyed the pool table and the furnishing was comfortable. We did find dead roaches under the kitchen sink and the bathroom next to the patio had strange flat bugs.

Hidden Gem

My friends and I (5 of us total) stayed here for 3 nights for a girls weekend. The home was spotless and exactly as pictured and described. 3 large bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, good sized kitchen, comfortable living room and large screened-in lanai. Beds are comfortable, kitchen has basic amenities (coffee maker, pots/pans, plates, glasses, silverware), beach chairs and towels are provided. Conveniently located between the beach (Sanibel/Captiva Island) and Fort Myers downtown district. We loved that it was away from the hustle and bustle of the beach crowd, but still close to everything we wanted to see and do. We would definitely stay here again if we revisit Fort Myers.

Thank you so much for your wonderful and detailed review! We’re so happy to hear that you and your friends had such a great girls weekend and that the home met your expectations. It’s especially nice to know you enjoyed the location and peaceful setting while still being close to Sanibel Island, Captiva Island, and the Downtown Fort Myers area. That balance is exactly what we hope our guests experience! We truly appreciate you choosing our home for your trip and would absolutely love to host you again whenever you return to Fort Myers. 💛

Spring break escape

Our family— consisting of a college student, parents, and grandparents—all enjoyed our stay. Such a relaxing and beautiful home with so many fun things to do. We had a family billiards tournament- Grandpa won!!— and enjoyed the ping pong and darts too. We loved the Black-bellied whistling ducks that visited on the dock and even saw a bald Eagle fly over the house. The host was super quick to answer any questions we had, and we all wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you for everything.

To Cool

Although this property was very clean, it has a strange floor plan. The thermostat is locked by the owner to not go above 72 degrees. We like it warmer than that. The master bathroom sink faucet allows only a trickle of water to flow. When I asked the host about these things, I got a run around response like "I suppose I could unlock the setting" but nothing was done about it. She was willing to get a repairman in to check the sink but we were leaving the day that he may have been able to come. Generally, the place was nice and clean but could have been a lot more comfortable.

Thank you for choosing to stay at Lakeside Paradise and for your feedback. We strive to provide a quality stay for each of our guests and would have loved to make your stay even more comfortable for you and more to your liking. We were more than happy to unlock the thermostat so that you could fully control it on your end and also to address the sink issue. Both were checked and thankfully all is fine. We would love to have the opportunity to host you again to make it all up to you. You are always welcome back!

This little vacation home was very modern, clean, and the view of the lake was beautiful. We enjoyed the pool table and the dock. The rooms were clean and there were more than enough beds. Speaking of beds, they were pretty comfortable. While it has kitchen items they are limited which is understandable. Additional coffee mugs would be needed for a party larger than 4. There also is no can opener which would be a nice addition. And while this is a minor thing, some lamps in the living room/game room area would be nice. The only lighting came from the ceiling fans and at night it became pretty dark. The location was very convenient as it was a short 20 minute drive to Sanibel Island and Fort Myers.
