This was the perfect spot for our family of 7 adults. The location is private and within walking distance of the local coffee shop and restaurants. The house isn't fancy but it was very clean. We enjoyed the 5 days at this house very much.

We had a great stay in Sparta. The house was really clean and very accommodating. There was a lot of “extras” that were provided. For example, coffee, kitchen utensils and cookware, spices, garbage bags, etc. We visited the nearby Lost Creek Trailhead and it was beautiful!

The space was very clean, ample in size, many amenities (ping pong, fishing, hammocks, games. Well stocked kitchen. The pictures on the listing undervalue the space. The yard and sitting areas are great! We only wish had had more time to spend. Everyone of all ages has requested we return for a longer stay.

Kitchen well stocked with large pots and pans. Plenty of paper products .. never ran out of hot water and there were 6 of us . Driveway was hilly to get kayak trailer in easily but since driveway was pull thru became a non issue . Easy access to downtown Sparta . Next door neighbor and son were super sweet and welcoming . Bryan said we could turn trailer around in his yard if we needed … southern hospitality at its best !

Loved the house and how easy everything was as far as checking in and coziness. The river was great we caught tons of fish. And made some good memories and took some good pictures. Only negative was being unprepared for unwanted visitors showing up on the river bank while we were down there fishing. Being out of state I was unsure of the property guidelines. So I didn’t feel comfortable telling them to leave even though there are posted signs saying private property along the riverbank. Also there is an abandoned building next door where it seems people go to hangout and do whatever at all kinds of hours. Made us feel a little uncomfortable especially at night. Jessica was a great host and she took care of us. Even apologizing for the unexpected visitors. It’s not her fault at all. I would still recommend staying there. Just check on property guidelines especially if you’re from out of state and double check with Jessica on where people can and can’t be on property.

Thanks for your review Henry. I love that you enjoyed the property! I wanted to give some context on the building next door for future renters. This building is the old water treatment plant and is owned by The Sergio Brothers who also own Calfkiller Brewery. Their original plan was to turn it into a tap room but have realized it needs more work that originally thought. The city still uses the infrastructure to change the flow of the low head dam when it rains. The community also uses the stairs along the opposite side of the building to walk down to the river to fish above the dam. The land directly behind our home is our private property but the river itself is very active in the summer with people fishing and enjoying the outdoors. Our backyard is still very private and we normally never see anyone else. Thanks again for visiting!
