About this property
Run the Waters
Summary:
Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Welcome to Run the Waters. The home has granite countertops, stainless appliances, and fully furnished kitchen. Main level entertaining area offers the opportunity to entertain with large screened in porch and 12 person farmhouse table with seasonal lake view. This home has ample space for the entire family with 2 full bedrooms, a custom 5 bed bunk room, 3 full bathrooms, one bathroom on each level, and spacious laundry room.
The Space:
Relax in the afternoon after spending the day on Center Hill Lake in the porch bed swing or sitting around the fire pit. Enjoy a nice relaxing soak in the hot tub while enjoying the lake view and surrounded by nature.
A walking trail to the lake, that is located just below the house, allows you to pull a boat directly to the bank and is perfect to fish or head out on the water in a canoe/kayak. Cookeville Boat Dock is about 16 minutes by boat or vehicle.
Guest Access:
The entire residence is accessible.
Other Things to Note:
The Area:
Run the Waters is surrounded by nature and is NOT IN CLOSE PROXIMITY to local businesses and restaurants. There are no food delivery services at this location so please plan accordingly. Baxter is approximately 11 miles away and Cookeville is approximately 16 miles away.
Marina for boats:
The closest marina is Cookeville Boat Dock that is approximately 8 miles or about 16 minutes drive. There is a restaurant and boat rentals.
The Walking Trail to the Lake:
The trail is a steep (3) min hike down to the lake so be sure to bring good hiking shoes for the hike. The downwards hike is somewhat easier than the hike upwards. Also, the trail property is owned by US Army Corps of Engineers so please be respectful to the property and no littering on the trail. Please help us keep the trail clean by picking up any trash others may have left behind.
Transportation:
The preferred means of transportation is by truck or SUV as portions of the roadway are steep, loose gravel, and can often be uneven terrain. Any vehicle with a high ground clearance should not have any issues navigating the roadway. Also, during winter months the roadway may be very difficult or impossible to navigate due to hazardous winter weather.
Parking:
The parking pad may accommodate (4) or (5) vehicles.
Boats:
Due to the steepness and curviness of the roadway with the lack of turn around area on a dead end road, we do not recommend towing boats/trailers to the house.
Grilling:
There is a propane grill provided and there is also a fire pit grate to cook over fire.
Gas Fireplace:
The gas fireplace located in the living room will only be functional during September through March.
Fire pit:
A wood burning fire pit is available for use. Firewood is not provided.
Coffee Pot:
There is a Keurig K-Duo Single-Serve & Carafe Coffee Maker. Some K-cups are provided. If a pot of coffee is preferred, you will need to provide your own.
Wifi:
There is Wifi provided with fiber optic connection with speeds up to 1 GIG.
