About this property

Beautiful waterfront house on Houghton Lake, Michigan’s largest inland lake, with its own private dock and boat lift. Located a few miles from the boat launch, you can safely dock your boat or rent one out for your stay.
Additionally, the house is about three miles from Higgins Lake beaches, close to restaurants, outdoor trails, and more fun family entertainment. Neighbor is willing to rent out kayaks!

The house has three beds: a Queen bed in the master bedroom, a Murphy style Queen bed in the loft, and a comfortable sleeper sofa.
There is an open concept kitchen with an oven, stove, microwave, fridge, and freezer.
The house has two TV’s and internet: a large TV in the living room, and one mounted in the bedroom.
The large composite deck overlooks Houghton Lake and has outdoor dining, a chair hammock, a fire pit, and a grill.
There is one full bathroom on the main floor, as well as one in the loft area.
The loft area, additionally includes a washer and dryer, and a dedicated workspace.

Hi! My name is Shawn Schreur, I currently reside in Royal Oak and am the Controller of an Auto Manufacturing plant. I had the pleasure of working in Houghton Lake, doing the same job, for about a year and a half, and rather than selling this beautiful house, I wanted others to be able to experience its pleasures, and keep it as a cottage myself.

The cottage is a waterfront property that resides on the largest inland lake in Michigan, Houghton Lake. Additionally, it is about 3-4 miles from the beautiful Higgins Lake and beaches.

What makes this property unique

It's an extremely cozy and "homey" cottage that has 40 feet of waterfront, direct access to the water, a private dock, and a boat lift to dock your boat or rent one!
