The house itself was beautiful, clean, and looked just like the photos. Unfortunately, there were several issues that made our stay less enjoyable. When we first arrived, we had trouble getting in because some of the buttons on the front door keypad didn’t seem to work properly. The house is also very close to train tracks, and trains came through frequently, blowing their horns throughout the day and night, which made it difficult to relax and get a good night’s sleep. To make matters worse, the neighbors had very bright outdoor lights that shined directly through the windows at night. The biggest concern was our interaction with the host. He came to the house while we were eating dinner and repeatedly knocked on the door until someone answered. He questioned us about having a dog, and after being told it was a service dog, he demanded to see paperwork, which made us feel very uncomfortable. As we were leaving, we also noticed a few live roaches inside the house. The home itself is beautiful, but between the keypad issues, constant train noise, bright lights from the neighboring property, the uncomfortable interaction with the host, and the roaches, we would not choose to stay here again.
