Diamond Lake, in Cass County Michigan, is the Largest Lake in southwest Michigan – 1020 acres in Lower Peninsula –just 2 hours from Chicago and drive from Notre Dame campus, wine country, historic downtown Dowagiac, Amish settlements, and antiquing. Whether you’re looking to visit friends or be adventurous, we have it all - Notre Dame Football games, snow skiing, snowmobiling, fishing, private beach, golfing, bike riding and so much more.
Smoke & Animal Free 3 bedroom year round house with central air and heat on a corner lot with a spectacular view of the second green on Diamond Lake golf course. Enjoy the back deck while enjoying a glass of Michigan’s own wine or around a bonfire while roasting marshmallows on a chilly Michigan night. 1st bedroom has a queen size bed & ceiling fan 2nd bedroom also has queen size bed and ceiling fan the 3rd bedroom has bunk beds full on bottom and single on top also a queen pull out sofa.
Diamond Lake is an all sport lake and offers sandy beaches and public boat launch. No boat, no problems check out Park Shore Marina for all your rental needs. Bring your bikes and enjoy a ride around the lake or enjoy a round of golf at are local golf courses. Maybe you would like to check out Michigan’s wineries and wine tasting tours. Possibly go snow skiing or snowboarding at Swiss Valley 20 minutes away or snowmobiling on the trails 10 minutes away. You could attend the Notre Dame Football game which is 25 minutes away, check out the pumpkin and Christmas tree farm which is 20 minutes away. Shopping in Dowagiac or the surrounding towns is only a 20 – 30 minutes away. Or just relax and enjoy the slow pace and peace and quiet that Michigan has to offer.

Comfortable home

Our family enjoyed the stay, just 1.5 blocks from a small beach on the lake. It was perfect for the grandkids. The house was spacious and clean. It was well equipped with linings and kitchen equipment. We would rent again.

Perfect Spot

This home was fantastic. Everything was just as described. I was there with my wife, son , daughter-in-law and three grandsons ages 5, 3, and 1. Spotlessly clean. Short walk to small beach that was perfect for the kids. Nice deck to have dinner and conversation after kids were in bed. Kitchen well stocked. Lots kid games, etc., in the boys’ room closet. Extremely quiet neighborhood. Rented a pontoon boat from nearby marina and the owners there could not have been nicer. Finally, the hosts were VERY accommodating and communicated promptly. A five star stay in all respects!

Great stay!

Lucille was wonderful to rent from. She was very responsive and always looking to help. The power went out for 24 hrs in the area due to a power line cut and she reached out multiple times a day and even reached out to her friends in the area to look to help us. She went above and beyond what we could have expected! Place is in a great location and wonderful for us and our 3 boys!!!

Getaway

Overall the house provided most of what we needed. Fireplace tools for the wood burning fireplace would be nice & a larger living room TV. Lots of earwigs & other bugs. Windows that open to get some fresh air into the house. Remodeled bathroom is VERY NICE.

Thanksgiving weekend in Diamond Lake

I’ve rented this home several times over the past few years. The location is great- across the street from the golf course and one block to the beach. The house is very clean and fully stocked with everything that you need. I highly recommend renting this home for a weekend at Diamond!

We enjoyed our stay in your home. Everything was clean, a fully stocked kitchen with pans plates etc. We love the neighborhood and the one block walk to the beach. It is very peaceful and would like to return.

Great rental for a family

Comfortable stay a block from Diamond Lake

We had a great family trip staying at this quaint home that is located one block from Diamond Lake. The owner was easy to deal with, the place was well kept, and it met all of our needs. A block away is a private beach and park. Highly recommend this for anyone looking to stay at Diamond Lake without the lakefront prices.

Excellent Stay

Hello! We stayed in July and the house was perfect! We had 4 adults and 4 kids and the set up was great. The four kids slept in the kid room with bunk beds, a pull out and air mattress. The fully stocked kitchen made cooking and clean up easy. The beach and water was beautiful. Kids had a blast jumping off the raft and we did board games at night (found in the board game closet). It was a great time! The house was clean and having two bathrooms with the two families was great and made showers/bath time super easy. We would stay again in a heartbeat.

Fun family vacation spot

Our family had a terrific long weekend at Diamond Lake and this home was great. We had six adults and three children and did all our cooking at the house. The full kitchen had everything we needed, and we loved having both a charcoal and gas grill for cooking. We loved the bonfire with S'mores and hanging out on a pontoon that we rented from the marina. The home was very clean and the layout was good. It's a short walk to the beach but not much space there so if you can, I recommend getting a pontoon and going over to the 'sandbar' for swimming. We'd recommend for sure.

Great place for a family get-together!

We had a wonderful long weekend with extended family here. House was beautiful, clean, and just a short walk to the neighborhood beach which was perfect for small kids. Ice cream at the adjoining country club and fresh fruit at the market down the street - what more could you ask for? New BBQ place in town was awesome. County park just a few miles away has nice family-friendly hiking trails. An easy drive to the Lake Michigan shore as well.

Very comfortable home

This house is a great vacation destination, with close proximity to Diamond Lake and the golf course. The home is very well-equipped with lots of kitchen supplies, is very spacious, and has an amazing back porch. Thanks to John for making the rental very easy!

Great vacation house

My family stayed here for the weekend. The house is comfortable, clean and has everything you need. Great location, within walking distance to a nice beach. Also, close to the marina, we brought our boat and road our bikes to the marina every day. Wonderful quiet location, great views of the golf course. Deck and fire pit were so nice after a day on the water. Owner was very kind and helpful. Will definitely stay here again.
