Hi Carolyn, we’re truly sorry to hear your experience didn’t meet expectations. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following: - The pool was undergoing treatment during your visit, and while we had communicated the issue ahead of time, we regret that it impacted your ability to enjoy this amenity. A partial refund was provided as a gesture of goodwill. - This is an outdoor pool, and shifting weather can sometimes affect water clarity, though the owner has since upgraded to a saltwater system and added two pool vacuums for guest use. - While the step-down near the kitchen hasn’t caused issues in the past, we are now exploring options to better mark the area for added visibility and safety. - We were also sorry to hear about the medical situation and any delay in communication, and we’re reviewing the guest contact process to ensure timely responses moving forward. Thanks for your feedback.

From the owner: "Thank you for your detailed review. We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay and liked our home and the area. We understand that having an outdoor pool surrounded by trees might present some challenges. While the trees provide valuable shade, we cannot remove them. To address this, we use skimmers to clean the pool of any tree debris and ensure it is available for guests to use when needed. We appreciate your feedback and will continue to strive to improve our guests' experiences."

From the owner: "We are sorry to hear you encountered a couple of problems. We were told the coffee maker had to be descaled, it was bought this year, but it was used a lot! We are glad you enjoyed your stay overall. We hope you come back again!"
