Thank you for letting us spend our wedding weekend here at your house. Everything was great! Amazing location on the water and the house was very clean and spacious. Bedrooms are huge and almost everyone had their own bathroom.
A dozen family members stayed here for a wedding in Huntersville, and this property was absolutely perfect! Its Lake Norman location is lovely and very convenient. Having a bath in nearly every bedroom was wonderful. The beds were extremely comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed. I would highly recommend this VRBO for other large families!

So glad you enjoyed. We aim to please. Would love to have you back anytime.
This location was perfect for our family as it is located a half mile from my sisters home and location of our dads 90th bday celebration… we spent very little time here :( and look forward to return visit so we can enjoy Lake Norman :)
We had ten of us coming to Lake Norman for a week's family vacation and the house was ideal for what we needed...right on the lake, plenty of room, and even a split level to give the groups some occasional privacy. We would definitely recommend!

Keith so glad your family has enjoyed our home yet another year. We love having families return year after year. Seeing the review reminded me that I was supposed to stay in touch and remind you if we were filling up for the next summer should yall want to get a plan together for another great week at Waters Edge. We only have a few summer openings so let us know asap if you need us to look at dates. Look forward to hosting your family again soon. Patty
The property manager, Patty, was extremely nice, helpful and friendly. The house was everything we could have hoped for, for our annual family vacation. We had families from RI, NH and NC and we all had plenty of space. The house is beautiful and the lake was amazing. We swam, fished and floated on our floaties. We kayaked with the kayaks we brought, and had a wonderful time on our pontoon boat, which we were able to bring and dock at the private dock. The walk down to the water was nicely paved. Getting in and out of the water was a bit challenging for the family members who were older and had knee issues, as the only way in and out of the water was with the ladder on the dock. Other than that, everything was perfect!
We had our four children, their spouses and all four grandchildren for the local Hot Air Balloon Fest. Fantastic weekend, the home was perfect! Everything as expected and better.
Very quiet and relaxing neighborhood. We were able to rent a boat close by. Owner was very nice and responsive. Big enough for our large family with room to spare.

Rebecca it was such a pleasure to host your group. We are so glad you enjoyed so much and look forward to you coming again soon. Patty
Great place for our out of town family and friends who came in for our daughter’s wedding. Wish we had more time to enjoy it. Plenty of room to spread out. New living room furniture was very nice. Easy access to the lake. Patty was very prompt in answering our questions. Would definitely stay here again.
This property worked out well for our family - two of my children and their families as well as my Brother-in-law, husband and myself. There were some things that could use attention and I will address those with the owner. Property works out great for multiple families

Mary we so enjoyed having you as guest and thank you so much for your suggestions and input. You were there during a busy peak season and it is so difficult to get in for extras without disturbing guest but when things slowed down a bit we addressed all your suggestions and look forward to you coming again for family time. Thanks again and look forward to seeing you soon. Patty
The house was perfect. This was a women retreat. We had more than enough rooms and space for everyone. The house itself has a warm and inviting atmosphere. The house was well stocked with pots, pans, and utensils. It also had lots of games to entertain if you have children.
If we are ever in this area again we will definitely choose this house again for our retreat.
Thanks again Ms.Patty for allowing us to use your house. You are an excellent host.
My family and I have stayed with Patty for the last 2 fall vacations. Patty is AMAZING. Great communicator and always willing to go the extra mile to make your stay relaxing and stress free 😊. The home is well equipped. Had Thanksgiving dinner and surprisingly the home had everything we needed. The home itself sell’s family and comfort. Also fishing off the docket while the sunsets is so beautiful and once again RELAXING.
If you rent from Patty you won’t go wrong 👍
We all had a wonderful time. The house was perfect, fit all of us comfortably. The lake was beautiful. Patty was very responsive.
Our only issue was with the cleaning. There was trash left under some the beds, the rug in the main bathroom was wet and had a very weird dog pee smell to it, and most of the towels had weird smells, even after washing.
Other than that, if we get the chance, we would definitely return to this house.

Mary I am so glad your family enjoyed our home so much and are looking at booking next year. But my my, I so wish you would have let us know about even the possibility of a pet being in house so we could have looked into it immediately since we Donot allow pets out of respect to our guest with allergies Also we could have had the maids come by if there was anything that concerned you. Sometimes they can miss an empty water bottle or papers that kids slide way up under under a bed but they certainly will come out if called. I can’t say I have ever heard of an odor on towels but we have a full stock of new replacement towels on site that we could have given you access to had we known. Just wish you had mentioned these items when we spoke. Our aim is to please our guest and give them the best vaca possible. So please let us know about any concerns at all if you can work out your dates and have an opportunity to stay with us again next year.

Not Great, Not Terrible, Has Potential
Patty was kind, helpful, organized, and easy to communicate with prior to and during our stay. The location of the house wasn't bad. It's not super close to things, but the drive to get to stores and such was about 15-20 mins. We found a few nice parks/playgrounds for things to do with kids. The drive to Mountain Creek Park in Sherrill's Ford was worth it-great playground, pickleball courts, picnic tables, hiking trails, etc. The yard was big with room for kids to play outside and we even brought a portable net to set up to play badminton and volleyball and had plenty of space. The fire pit was a nice addition for things for us to do. Two very large TVs in common spaces were great. The extra refrigerator in the basement was super helpful for a large group with a lot of food and beverages.
The house itself needs a lot of TLC. We liked the actual space and convienence of the house itself-having six bedrooms on three different floors and six bathrooms was wonderful with a large group. But a lot of the house has gotten worn down by the elements and by guests. We did not have enough towels, both sets of washers and dryers either didn't work at all or took triple the amount of time, there was mold in the one basement bathroom, almost every blind in the house had broken pieces, there was a broken vase in a bedroom, and the furniture is just feeling very used and tired. Lots of wear and tear. Lots of stains on carpets. There were cracks in multiple places on countertop in kitchen which can trap bacteria. Things just felt very tired/used/dirty/outdated. The living room couches and coffee table, breakfast nook table and chairs, the kitchen counter and bar stool chairs, and the dining room floral tablecloth with cheap plastic cover on top make the house feel old in style and unclean. It just makes you feel like the money you're spending for the week should be going towards repairing and replacing some of the items around the house.
We picked this house because it was "in the middle" of PA and Fl for family to get together for the holidays. We also went with it bc reviews were all good. I'm not sure we would choose this exact house again in the future unless we knew some of the maintenance issues were addressed and some things were replaced.

Jessica, thank you so much for stating that I was kind, helpful and easy to communicate with and access during your stay. I do endeavor to serve my guest in the highest standard as can be witnessed in all my 5 star reviews. That is the reason I am stunned at some of your dissatisfaction, especially since we spoke after your checkin and you had only noticed a broken vase and 1 of 16 outdoor chairs that had been broken by a previous guest unawares to us. You seemed so happy and satisfied with the place. As I informed you there were extra linens and towels should you need them in an onsite closet but you didn't inform me you were a few short or express any concerns at all until after checkout when your mom became livid with paying for the rental and demanding that I return vrbo booking fees to her which I expained I coudn't do. Then complaints followed.
I am the first to say at the end of a very busy rental season in a popular house that there needs to be a refreshing which we always do such as painting, carpet deep cleaning and replacing some furniture. In fact half of the furniture was replaced last Spring and brand new furniture for the living room and dining area is on order now awaiting delivery. So I am sure though you only told me about 1 broken blind and a couple small spots on the carpet, already all blinds have been replaced and carpets have been cleaned as always. The stain on the baseboard caused by wet towels has been painted and the repairmen have serviced the appliances and told me they were in good working order just like the cleaning service confirmed. The huge countertop that had developed a few hairline cracks has also been addressed. So I am sure you are glad to know these maintenance items have been completed and I really do regret that your design taste is so different and you didn't like the new protective table cover and that it just appeared "tired" to you.
I do trust you and your family find the home perfectly designed to your taste for your next venture. And again so sorry I dont control or cant do anything about the booking fees imposed.
We will continue to refresh our home as always so that many happy families can continue to enjoy their vacation with us as witnessed by all our other reviews. Wishing you the best in your future endeavors. Patty
