We had such a great time on our vacation here. The house and neighborhood are great. Location to beach is amazing. We had an issue with a shower not draining, but they came and fixed it the same day. I’m a clean freak and it was clean. Overall we had a wonderful time and would return again.

If you want groceries, to go eat or just enjoy the beach it’s all steps away OR an extremely brief golf cart ride away. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. Everyone was so kind. Perfect, safe neighborhood for kids to play in and ride bikes. Highly recommend!! We will be back.

Beautifully decorated house, convenient location

We enjoyed our 30A stay at the Cabana Banana. Our family of 4 (kids are 18 and 14, plus our 20 lb. doodle) had plenty of room. The house, both interior and exterior, was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The beach and several restaurants are within walking distance. We enjoyed using the bikes to visit Grayton Beach and Santa Rosa Beach/Gulf Place. The porches were both nice, with a swing on the first floor and screens on the second. There isn't any greenspace in the neighborhood, so be aware if you are bringing pets. We were strategic about walks due to the heat. Dogs are not permitted on the beach here (which we agree with) and we intended to take ours to the state forest next door but never managed to with the heat. The property manager was extra helpful (we locked ourselves out one day) and they were quick to respond when we had questions. We didn't use the golf cart much; finding parking at the beach access lot is tricky and there is quite a bit of traffic on 30A (both cars and carts). It was simpler for us to pack our items on our backs and ride over to some of the other beach access points in the Blue Mountain neighborhood or to just walk and take a cart with us. Thanks so much for sharing your property with us!

However our group of ladies have been going to Destin beach area for 27 years and we prefer being on beach. All of the bedrooms are on second floor which was difficult for one of our ladies. Also we normally have 3 full baths & this home only has 2 1/2 baths. We are not accustomed to being on Public beach which was very crowded & lots of steps (one of our ladies is 77 & has knee problems). Glad we had the Golf cart. Directions stated gas station around corner, but we had to travel a mile + to fill it up.

I would definitely recommend this location.There were two issues. When we arrived we were unable to get into the house using the code. After many unsuccessful attempts we called and were told to push or pull the the door so the lock could disengage. This worked but it would have saved us 30 minutes on a hot front porch had we been given this information earlier. The upstairs was pretty warm the first night. We turned the thermostat down and it was much better the next morning and from then on.
