The cottage was wonderful! Decorated so cute—as featured online. Clean and well equipped. The location is amazing w a 5 min walk to restaurants and 10 min walk to beach! The host was responsive and very helpful. We will def be here next year!

Such a sweet little beach retreat. Our family of four had the best time! The place was so clean and very well stocked with everything you’d need, including beach amenities. Great layout too! Having two bathrooms was so nice with teenagers. We loved hanging on the back patio in the evenings and the front patio in the mornings. Loved strolling to the beach shops, dinner spots and coffee shops and of course the beach. Marilyn is a fantastic host! Will be back next summer!

FANTASTIC choice! We needed to spend a month in San Diego for medical reasons and decided that we should try to make it feel like a vacation at the same time. This lovely home was exactly what we needed. First of all, it is larger than it looks. There were only 2 of us so we did not use the second bedroom but if we had been with 2 additional people it would have been ideal as you can close off that section of the house and make it feel separate and private. The location is unbeatable. Steps away from a closed off street filled with restaurants. The ocean just a few minute walk away. Marilyn was on top of everything and responded promptly to any and every communication. Kind, considerate and helpful. It was a pleasure to work with her. If we find ourselves this direction again we will book her home. You will not be disappointed if you select this property!

Great place. Great location. Wonderful stay.

Lovely, very well-designed cottage on quiet, friendly street, just steps away from the shops and restaurants of Avenida de la Playa and blocks from the beach. Very clean and super comfortable accommodation with great hosts. Looking forward to our next trip!

This is a wonderful 2 BR / 2 BA house with big windows overlooking a large secluded patio. Everything is top quality: from the comfy beds to the great shower, to the nice kitchen, to the secluded outdoor gas fireplace with lava rocks. A fine front-yard patio dining set was a great place to breakfast and admire the lovely front yard. The neighborhood is nice and quiet yet only a block from the main drag Avenida de la Playa and a few short blocks to the fantastic La Jolla Shores beach and park. We had our own spot in the garage with a door controller. We had a great time and would love to come back!

Lovely vacation rental

This is a great vacation rental. 10/10 would recommend and stay here again. This space worked amazing for our 2 and 4-year-old with this fenced-in yard.

Another great week in La Jolla Shores!

My family loves staying at Marilyn's place. It is clean, stocked with everything we need, a short walk to the beach and all of the stores and restaurants on Avenida de la Playa, and Marilyn is very responsive and kind. Staying there is a great way to unwind and enjoy the San Diego sun and lifestyle!

We've been staying at Marilyn's cottage for years - it's our absolute favorite place in La Jolla. The cottage is immaculate and super close to shops/restaurants and La Jolla Shores beach. Family Vacation

Great location! Able to walk to the beach and restaurants in the area and the house was great. The beds were very comfortable and the fire pit on the private patio was very nice in the evenings. Marilyn was great to work with. Would definitely stay here again.

True Gem in La Jolla Shores

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay - the place is perfect and in a great location. Short distance to the Main Street and a few blocks from the beach - can’t beat it. Everything is comfortable and I felt at home almost immediately. Highly recommend.

We could not have found a more perfect seaside escape. The property is exactly as described and, as importantly, our host (Marilyn) was not only immediately accessible but also totally committed to making our stay flawless and memorable, which it was. Our month stay ended too quickly. The neighborhood was quiet, neighbors were friendly, and the short walk to the beach was a gift. The front and interior patios added to the expansiveness of the home. Finally, following an active day, the beds were extremely comfortable. Thank you Marilyn.

Perfect place next to everything

The property was ideal and steps away from restaurants and the beach. We really enjoyed lounging on the front and back patio, loved the set up and sliding patio doors throughout. Very well thought out, airy and clean. Owners were wonderful and very responsive.
