SURFSIDE and SUNSWEPT are our studio, one and two bedroom units.
We come to enjoy our hospitality.

August 2025 renovations included new hurricane-proof sliding glass doors, custom draperies, white kitchen cabinets and appliances, quartz countertops, floor tile and repainting throughout.

Make the delightful transition to island life in our waterfront 2 bedroom, 2 bath place furnished with luxurious, colorful island decor. Vacation in this two-bedroom suite for a family or two couples, or reserve just the one bedroom or a studio unit for two with private entrances. Either way, envision yourself sipping coffee or cocktails while watching pelicans diving for fish and listening to the waves gently lap the shoreline. Grande Bay offers a pool, hot tub, fitness center, garage parking and elevators.

One-bedroom unit has front and rear balconies, eating area, king bed in bedroom and queen sleeper in living room, full kitchen with side-by-side frig, stove, 2 TVs w/cable and DVD, bath, a reserved garage parking space, beach chairs and towels, and coolers.

Studio unit has king bed, sofa, TV w/cable and DVD, front balcony, kitchenette w/microwave and under counter fridge, bath, private entrance. (no parking space), beach chairs, towels, and cooler.

Fabulous stay in St. John, USVI!

The 1 bedroom and studio were perfect for our family of 5! It was well stocked with all of the essentials, including beach towels, cooler, beach chairs. The view was incredible and the condo was beautiful! Thanks for making our vacation so memorable! We will be back!

Grande Bay never disappoints

Best location on St. John to enjoy Cruz Bay nightlife and quick walk to taxis for the beach. This 2 bedroom condo was perfect for our family-the second bedroom is a studio with its own kitchen and bathroom-great for our college daughter and her friend.

Great stay right on Cruz Bay

Four of us (two teenagers) enjoyed a fantastic week in Surfside. The two bedroom + sofa bed setup worked well for us, and the convenience of Grande Bay is hard to top. Property managers were great - communicative and easy to work with from start to finish. We also rented their jeep, which was waiting for us in the garage when we arrived. It was amazing to be back on St John after three years! Things are almost exactly the same, which is the way we like it.

Wonderful stay!

Stayed in the 2BR Surfside option at Grande Bay. It is rare when our family of five (2 adults and 3 teens) all agree on something. But - the feeling here was unanimous - Anna May and Peter's place is fantastic! Location, views, comfort, space. Did I mention location? In this era of COVID, a lot had to happen for us to make it to STJ over Christmas break - 5 negative COVID tests within 5 days of travel, flights staying on schedule, STJ not shutting down. We had to tweak our reservation with Anna May a few times. Each time, she was gracious and accommodating. Cannot tell you how much we appreciated that! When we finally arrived on STJ, we were greeted by Desmond and taken to our home for the week. Desmond was terrific and Crandall was very responsive to the couple of issues we had. Again, the condo has everything needed for a great stay - coolers, pool floaties, beach chairs, beach towels - all of it! There was even bug spray and SPF. Cannot say enough about our hosts. The island is now on our list of must do agains - can't wait to visit mask-free! Thank you for a fantastic time!

Very nice condo with beautiful harbor view

This is the third time we've stayed in this condo, so we obviously love it. You can't beat the location, just steps from several restaurants, bars and shops in Cruz Bay. The owner provides beach towels, beach chairs and coolers. The king size bed is very comfortable and the kitchen is modern and had everything we needed.

Another great visit to St. John

Our stay at Grande Bay was perfect. The two adjoining units provided for time together but also privacy for each couple. We love the location as it is great for walking to dinner at many wonderful restaurants. The welcome complimentary cocktail gathering is a nice way to get tips from regular visitors. The service was perfect from initial inquiry through our return home. I will definitely rent here again in the future. Thanks for your help and great hospitality.

A 10 in All Respects

We leased the 2 bedroom unit in August 2012 for the last week of June 2013, so we had been planning this vacation for a long time. We were definitely not disappointed. The condo was just as described. Both the 1 bedroom and the studio are furnished very nicely. There is not a single thing that we would change. It was very convenient having the washer/dryer in the bedroom. To start our day on the balcony with our morning coffee watching the boats go out for the day was wonderful. The location could not be better. In 5 minutes you can be downtown at some very good restaurants. We were little bit worried about the noise from downtown, but even with the festival beginning while we were there, it was not a problem. Even if you lease through VRBO from the owner, the owner has a management company on the island to meet you upon arrival and assist when needed. This is a good personal touch. We had a small A/C problem in the studio that was taken care of in 15 minutes. One could not ask for better care. We hope to return next year.

True Paradise!

My husband and I stayed in the 1 bedroom condo for 8 nights. After a rough winter, we had a fantastic vacation! This condo is not only in the perfect location, it is very clean, spacious, and tropically beautiful. Everything you need for the beach, making meals, and even doing some laundry is all supplied. They even have extra sun block lotion and bug spray which you'll need when you have your early morning coffe on the scenic deck. I miss the sound of the water lapping against the shore! Even though it is close to town, it's not noisy at all at night. We chose not to rent a car because the condo is within easy walking distance to all the shops, resaurants, Dolphin Market, and open air taxis that take you to all the beaches. You can even walk to some of the trails. If you want to explore more of the island, you can rent a car for just a day. We chose Grande Bay initially because of the very close proximity to downtown Cruz Bay but we will be returning to Grande Bay and staying in one of Anna May and Peter's condos because they were so kind and accomodating when an unexpected health issue arose and travel needed to be postponed. The description and photos of this condo are true to form. It is very clear that these owners take great pride in their property. If you book with them, believe me, you'll be very happy you did - they've thought of everything!

St. John Heaven

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this lovely two-bedroom unit. The decor was "island"y and inviting, the views were spectacular and every amenity you could possibly need was there waiting for us, including some nice cold Caribes in the refrigerator. We have stayed on St. John for the past 22 years and each year is better than the one before. Many thanks to the owners for their kind hospitality. We will be back!!

Our first visit to St John. Pre-trip, we had several friendly and very helpful phone and email conversations wirh Anna May. Arriving in St John, we were greeted by Laurie and given a quick town tour before getting to the condo. It contained everything we could need and then some...in-unit laundry, teriffic king bed, ample kitchen space, patios front & back, (even the wine and cheese we had asked to have on hand). It was as pretty as pictured, and the entire property was clean and well-cared for. We opted to taxi to beaches and walk instead of renting a car, and it worked fine....everything is right at hand in town. The dinners at local restaurants were exceptional, and the staffs and townspeople were friendly and helpful. We're sorry we only had 5 days, and have recommended Grande Bay to everyone we've talked to, both on tSt John and at home. Thank you for a great VRBO experience!

The perfect vacation!!

Our trip on St. John was perfect! Our accomodations had ALL the ammenites, we couldn't of ask for more. It's exactly what you see in the pictures, and It was great to be that close to town. The place was very clean and decorated nicely. The restaurants are all amazing... Rhumb Lines and LaTapa's were two of our favorites, We rented paddle boards right in town which you could watch them from our balcony. Also rented a Dinghy for a day, and traveled the shoreline stopping for snokeling or just relaxing on one of the many beaches. We are looking forward to returning to St. John, and we would not hesistate in renting here again. Thanks again for a memorable trip!

We loved our stay at Grand Bay. We rented both sides for my entire family, and it was perfect! The location was great as was the condo itself. Everything was provided for (no worries on bothering with dishwasher soap, washing liquid, ect.. ). Thank you to our wonderful property manager and to the homeowners! We would definitely come back and stay right here!

Happy Family

I recently stayed at Grand Bay and had a blast. This place was so convenient to everything in Cruz Bay. The great restaurants, the beach bars, shopping, and we even rented a dingy right there. I sat every morning and night on my balcony and looked at the beautiful bay and all the funky boats. The Sunset is spectacular. The photos were spot on and the suite was very comfortable and clean. I loved the color scheme too. There were king sized beds in both rooms which I loved after a day of snorkeling for my tired legs. I would go to Water lemon Kay and Trunk Bay for that! My boyfriend and I had the studio while my brother and his wife had the one bedroom. There was a double door betweenthe two made it perfect for two couples. The washer and dryer was a great help and they even gave us complimentary soap at he desk in the welcome area and ice for our coolers every morning. The owner was super sweet and kind to my family. I even left some bathing suits in the dryer after I left and we managed to get them back. I would come back here in a heartbeat! and plan too.

Absolutely Wonderful

I recently stayed in the one bedroom for one week and loved the unit. All of the furnishings are new, the location is perfect, and the bed is SOFT (huge plus). The owners were very friendly and Grande Bay on site management was great as well. We have a toddler and the location was great- could stroll on down to Cruz Bay easily. The pool and jacuzzi are also nice to have. Almost every day after a long day at the beaches I hit the jacuzzi. My daughter really enjoyed the pool which is steps from the unit. I will second the recommendation to get a small car. I rented a Durango and it was literally a production each day when I parked it. Its possible- just not easy. My only suggestion to the owners would be to update the skillets and get a whisk. Other than those very nitpicky things everything was perfect. I definitely hope to stay there again. Rent not only with confidence- but knowing that you are getting a steal.

Well be back!!!

We enjoyed this unit very much. Perfect location. Very nicely appointed and decorated, and with all the right accessories. The beach towels/chairs were great and the cooler on wheels was a big hit. The Owners were a genuine pleasure to work with. The folks at Grande Bay Resort were also terrific. We had a great time in St. John -- as usual. We will return, hopefully to this same unit.

Perfect stay, excellent location

We've stayed in Grande Bay before however this was our first time in this newly & tastefully refurbished unit. We've been visiting St John for years and appreciate the benefits of "newly built (i.e. everything works and is clean & shiny), professionally maintained (daily) pool & spa, covered parking (rent a small vehicle - the parking spaces are tight), short walk to so many restaurants & shops. Next visit we won't bother with a rental car, the taxis are everywhere & economical, and we'll just rent a jeep for a day or two when we want to explore further out of town and on our own. On site management (even tho we rented directly from the owner via wrbo.com rather than the more expensive onsite rental office) is excellent. There was a minor condensation leak coming from the overhead a/c return, which we noticed our first evening after returning from dinner. We called the office and in 10 minutes their onsite maintenance man was IN our villa. Shortly thereafter the problem was totally solved. The onsite management team is a huge bonus if you've ever stayed in a rented private home or villa and had to wait a day or two for a contractor to show up - you'll know what I mean about convenience. The owner was very pleasant to work with and offered some good suggestions in her pre-arrival email, even though we are quite familiar with STJ. They own another 2BR villa in the upper level, a corner unit which has an amazing view. We were very happy in our location as we just popped down the stairs & walked to everything, never used the elevator except moving in & out. I needed to print a few documents and I used the computer center in the management office, no charge. The exercise room has a b'ful view of Cruz Bay. Grande Bay location and amenities are perfect for us. We stayed in the 1BR side of the villa however we saw the adjoining studio which is also nicely & freshly decorated. The owner has installed some full potted palm trees between the 2 patios, providing privacy to both. This will be our first choice on our next visit.

An Incredible Time Had By ALL

We so enjoyed your wonderful condo this trip. Your place is so warm and cozy and we felt “at home.” The décor is so lovely and what an awesome view of Cruz Bay. We are sad to leave. Thank you for such an awesome stay.

Why they chose this property

After years of exploring the Virgin Islands through bareboat sailing rentals, we settled on St. John because of the spectacular scenery, the warmth of the island people, and the perfect weather.

What makes this property unique

We love to hike all over the island, and there is scarcely a trail we have not traveled. After a full day, it's a pleasure to relax in the hot tub. Sometimes we prepare dinner on our balcony grill; other times it's nice to walk 1-2 blocks to many outstanding restaurants.
