A premier residence; superior kitchen, decor, accessories, and location. Spacious; photos are accurate. On-site parking, secure, safe attractive neighborhood. We loved our stay at this property. It was absolutely beautiful and so well setup. While the photos are well represented, we were even more impressed in person. The property is in a great location with a quick walk to bars & restaurants. It’s also well equipped for eating in with Micheal supplying many of your basic cooking essentials, which was also very impressive. In addition Michael provided detailed information for our stay and was very quick & helpful to respond to the few inquiries we had. We highly recommend this property & hope we have a chance to stay again in the future.

Beautiful Property on a Great Location

This is a lovely, beautifully decorated property. Excellent location—coffee shop and restaurants just across the street, and short 10-15 minute walk to downtown. Great host and amenities!

Perfect neighborhood and location

The Central Coast is home for us though we currently live in TX. Knowing SLO, we thought the location would be good, but it was better than expected. The house provides an easy walk to downtown eating, drinking, and shopping. And very nearby are some great restaurants and cafés to enjoy. The weather in SLO could not be better, balancing the coastal fog and the warmer temperatures in the North County. The house itself is historic but very clean and updated. The back patio provided a nice place to unwind with a fire and nice breeze.

Best vacation rental ever!

Would give a 100 rating if I could! Everything we could possibly need was in the home, and the space is even nicer than the pictures online. The location was absolutely perfect for walking into town to all the best restaurants. Would definitely recommend! We’ll definitely be back. Thank you!

Perfect weekend away

My family and I were in town for the weekend and it was perfect fit! It’s a very charming and historic home within walking distance to downtown with a very cute breakfast spot just a black away. We were out and about enjoying the town most of the day but coming back to this house was super cozy! We would visit again.

Perfect Getaway to San Luis Obispo

This charming house was perfect for our girls trip. The house is clean, comfortable, and just a short walk to downtown. I only wish we had more time for a longer stay. I will definitely stay here again. Michael is also a great host and very responsive to messages. There were also sweet touches with snacks, water, and eggs already in the fridge. We were blown away. You will enjoy your stay here!!

Wonderful clean charming home near historic downtown

Loved the house from the beginning - it is as lovely as portrayed in the pictures and more. We were greeted with snacks and a bottle of wine. The decor is what you wish you had in your own home and there is all you need to stay comfortably. Felt like we were visiting our friends’ home. Loved that we could walk everywhere. Communication with Michael was easy and enjoyable - he is professional and prompt and helpful. Everything was clean and comfortable, and even the bathroom lotion smells good! Cannot recommend this little gem enough!

Wonderful stay at SLO

Beautiful property, very clean and tastefully renovated. We arrived a bit early because my kid had stomach problems. Michael was so nice to let us get into the property before check in time. He was a wonderful and attentive host. Everything was stocked nicely so we got everything we needed for the trip. The kids really enjoyed the trundle bed and the purple mattress was amazing! Thank you Michael.

Above and beyond

This place is wonderful, not only is it beautifully decorated but there is even a Nespresso machine, Sonos speakers, Apple TV, .. Also, the host Michael was super accommodating. Even though he had guests scheduled to arrive on the same day of our departure, he arranged for a late checkout and also gave us tips for where to go in the town/what to do.

Beautiful remodel with 80 amp EV charger

This 2br, 1ba property is gorgeously remodeled to a modern standard, and comes with everything you need for cooking and relaxing. Strong AC. For EV drivers, the 80 amp NACS (Tesla) charger is a pleasant surprise, and I was able to easily use if with an NACS to J1772 TeslaTap converter.

First time VRBO renter

Since we were first time VRBO renters, we weren't sure of the process. But we were reassured form step one, with instructions and updates prompting us. Concierge service all the way. The place = equally beautiful and full of everything we needed. This is a property we'd want to return to.

Wonderful stay in SLO!

Husband and I had a great time staying at the railroad house in SLO. The home is beautiful, super clean, comfortable, and very well appointed. Pictures are definitely accurate. Michael was a great host, very responsive, and we appreciated all the little treats and extras. Neighborhood is walking distance (about 5-6 blocks) to the main downtown area so we didn’t have to deal with parking when we wanted to go for shopping or dinner. A few restaurants across the street too - tried the Thai one and it was very good. Area is across from Amtrack station but felt very safe to walk around. Was quiet at night (and yes, the bed was super comfy) but street outside the bedroom window does get a little noisier and busy in the morning with cars. I can highly recommend staying here, and am super happy to have a place to stay again when we are back in the area.

Wonderful home and fantastic hospitality!!!

This home is so stylish and comfortable!! Top notch amenities and technology! We enjoyed a glass of wine around the firepit, made a delicious dinner in the gorgeous kitchen and enjoyed a restful and deep sleep on the purple mattress bed in the primary bedroom! Kids seemed to love the daybed and trundle as they went to bed early and we didn’t hear from them all night!! There are several little touches throughout. Pancake mix, flour, sugar, coffee beans, oatmeal, a yummy bottle of wine, snacks, laundry supplies. We truly were offered anything that we could need. The location is fantastic, a block or two away from the cute SLO downtown area. Book this home- you won’t regret it!!!

Over the top.

If the average vacation rental is an eight or a nine, this one has to be a 12 or 13. Impeccably maintained house. Every detail was thought through. From lit up light switches to easily see in the dark, and extremely well equipped kitchen, directions or instructions on anything in the house to be used, to very specific check-in instructions sent by email so you don’t have to use the app or can share with other people that are joining you. I travel a lot and almost always stay in vacation rentals but very rarely have I seen the attention to detail this host has put in. Staying in this house will make the Four Seasons look like a Motel 6

The property was exactly as listed, maybe better than the photos. Everything was pristine and tasteful. As mentioned in previous reviews, the bed was amazing. Communication with Michael was exemplary.A very quick walk to Downtown (10 mins max) with numerous shops, bars and restaurants. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent location to explore SLO and work remotely

Such a great little house; conveniently located so we could walk to cute cafes, grab Thai takeout, or walk downtown. The deck in the kitchen had great natural light made which made for a fabulous remote work set-up. Would stay again.

The homeowner took special care when renovating this historic home. Beautifully done! We were all very impressed with the cleanliness and amenities offered to us from the homeowner. The location is perfect for a short stroll into town or just across the street to a few fantastic restaurants. We enjoyed every moment and plan on returning soon!

Clean, welcoming, and perfect. I was able to have a quiet space to work remotely while my daughter attended Cal Poly events. The home was a fantasic landing space for us and her friends. Comfy bed, lots of device charging options, great soaps/shampoos, top of the line appliances - so awesome.
