Nice location on quiet street.Very clean and tidy home with everything we needed, from shampoo and body wash to spatulas, cookware and coffee. High-end appliances that worked as expected. Beds were very comfortable with fluffy comforters and plenty of throw blankets. Ample bedrooms and sizes of beds to meet everyone’s needs. Living room and long dining room table provided nice gathering places. We didn’t use the hot tub, so can’t speak to that. Would highly recommend.

We took a girls trip to watch my daughter play hockey and this was the perfect place. 5 min drive to the arena, plenty of bedrooms and sleeping space for everyone, clean, and a hot tub to boot!!

Thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at Krista’s clean and beautifully decorated house! Beds were super comfy. Plenty of towels and toiletries. Kitchen was well-equipped and really fun to cook in (new high-end appliances). Loved the little details in design like wall art with overhead lighting that added extra ambiance in the evenings. SWEET CAROLINE SO SWEET

What a great weekend. Beginning with a perfect stay at Sweet Carolines. Check in was very easy, walking into a clean well-kept home. I also have a rental that is out of state, so comparing situations was nice. This home was so close to everything, a quick 15-minute walk to stadium was so easy not to mention the weather was perfect. Would definitely stay again and have already recommended to several of our friends that have kids at Iowa. Sweet Carolines did not disappoint :)

Great location for family game day gathering weekend!

This house is super cute and in a perfect location for staying in Ames during a ISU football game weekend. It was clean, looks exactly as pictured, is on a quiet street, comfortable beds, plenty of space for our extended family group of 9 adults. The only thing to be mindful of is the temperature control, specifically upstairs. It's an older house, so it's to be expected, but all upstairs rooms were a sauna, regardless of what temperature we set the thermostat, then depending on how low we set it, the main floor was chilly. We ended up opening windows and keeping the fans on if we needed to be upstairs, but primarily when sleeping--in late November. That helped for sleeping! Aside from that, we had the best time staying at Krista's home. She was a great host, gave clear instructions and was helpful and responsive. The hot tub was a nice treat, too :) We would love to stay here again! Thank you!

I've lived in Ames, Ia for the past 22 years. My children go to the Ames schools and I love to support local businesses. My husband attended Iowa State University and also loves all things Ames. We do venture to Des Moines once in a while but we find there's plenty to do around town. Please don't hesitate to ask questions about the house or Ames. Our goal is to be as hospitable as possible and for you to thoroughly enjoy your stay!

Why they chose this property

Our house is close to everything in Ames. It's a quiet neighborhood and across from Brookside Park where you can jog, play tennis, play at a park, play volleyball and more. It makes for a great house to have reunions, family getaways, visit your kids, or have a group go to a football or basketball game.

What makes this property unique

Our traditional meets modern home will fit most everybody's needs that stays there. The jacuzzi is a big bonus for sure!
