Lake Life Balance | Excellent Location

Lake Life Balance should be your number one choice for a quiet, cabin in the woods experience at Lake Gaston.  The home has been recently remodeled with an effort to strike a balance between the modern world at home and the lush, waterfront experience that makes our souls sing!

Balance has 6 beautifully decorated bedrooms accented by the original beam construction of the home.  There are four bedrooms with a Queen mattress and then 2 bunkrooms with 2 sets of bunk beds in each room.  (One of the bedrooms is a balcony loft accessible by a ladder.  Yes, it's cute as a button, but keep the ladder in mind when planning your sleeping assignments...)

Your day at "Balance" can begin with the breaking sun on the custom yoga platform (BYOM) as you relax, stretch and bond with the world around you!  Spend the day in the spacious and nearly wave free cove just off main lake playing, swimming, fishing or floating with your favorite beverage!  When the afternoon comes you can head out on your boat and go to one of the local waterfront restaurants only minutes away (MM 14 so Shady Shack, Watersview and the Point are all within 10 minutes!).  When its time to settle down for the evening, grab a beverage and some snacks and relax in front of the picture perfect firepit with your guests to reminisce about the day!

Balance boasts an outdoor shower, ping-pong, corn hole, firepit, yoga platform, a pair of kayaks and a pair of stand up paddle boards, huge meeting space AND screened porch, grill (propane provided!), griddle cooktop AND a huge wonderful lake for your enjoyment (See "Amenities" for all property features)!  

Final Note:  Listen, the fall of the year is fabulous here and should not be missed!  The changeover of the season with its fiery hues, crispy leaves and hot cocoa by the fire-pit changes this summer hot-spot to a whole new world of color and charm! Reminder:  All homes under management with Lake Gaston Vacation Rentals use linens that are prepackaged and sanitized for your protection.  This extra measure in sanitation has been in place since COVID and it ensures you are staying in the cleanest and safest environment that we can provide.  It also guarantees that you are not sleeping on a bed where other guests have brought their linens from their own beds reducing the likelihood of bed-bugs, mites, chiggers, etc.  There is a linen fee that will be charged at checkout for your linen package.  You will also be charged a cleaning fee for cleanup after your stay.  Also, please be aware that other fees may apply depending on which booking platform you used to book your stay.

This house is located on the Southwest side of Lake Gaston near mile markers 14-15.
Please Note: Lake Life Balance is not available for groups larger than 16, events or parties.

To get you started...

The bathrooms are stocked with courtesy hair dryers, soaps and shampoos designed for quick "off the shelf" use.   Each bathroom has a roll of septic-friendly toilet tissue as a starter. You are encouraged to bring whatever you feel you might need beyond the courtesy items provided.

The kitchens are stocked with one roll of paper towels, one trash bag for the kitchen trashcan, trial-size dish soap, two dishwasher pods and 1 sponge.  You are encouraged to bring whatever you feel you might need beyond the courtesy items provided.

A few more tid-bits...  :)

1.  Trained service animals are welcome!  Otherwise, we have a strict "no pets" policy.  We can help arrange lodging for your pets (as long as they are up to date on shot records which must be provided) at a local boarding facility during your stay, if you'd like; just give us a call...way in advance as they fill up fast!

2.  The house, like 99% of all lake homes on Lake Gaston, uses a septic system.  This system is a finely balanced biological system.  Please help us keep it working flawlessly by flushing ONLY toilet paper.  Renters are responsible for any damage caused by misuse.

3.  Bow-Riders and deep draft Wake Board boats need to check their Hummingbirds to ensure adequate depth in all coves.  Pontoons should have no issues and everyone is welcome to tie off at the dock with rental boat.(make sure to bring your bumpers!).

4.  Culverts & Bridges:  Be sure to lower your bimini top when going under bridges or through culverts.  Appearances can be deceiving!

5. Security Camera Disclosure:  We take your privacy very seriously.  However, this home is monitored by exterior security cameras in the following locations: 

Camera 1 on the front porch;
Camera 2 on the deck overlooking the back yard
Camera at the dock overlooking the boat/jetskis.

6.  There is absolutely no smoking on the property.  This is a heavily wooded area with lots of things that can catch fire.  If there is ANY evidence of smoking, you will be asked to leave and will not receive a refund.  Vaping devices are allowed and so is a nicotine patch... :)

7.  Trash service is concierge based, which means that when you need trash service just call management, and we will send the team over to pick it up!  .

8.  Parking:  There's oodles of parking places that will host at least 8 cars!  And yes, you can park your boat trailer here as well (Remember to bring your chocks!  Owners are NOT responsible for roll-aways or driveway incursions).

9.  Guests are asked to bring their own PFD's for maximum safety and proper fit.

10.  No horseplay, climbing or jumping at the dock.  Also, we recommend wearing some sort of foot protection at all times as docks, decks, paths, wooded areas, etc have their fair share of splinters.

11.  Quick note here for our boaters...the lifts are NOT available, but you can tie off at the dock.
