This place was perfect for our family of 4, and the view. AMAZING. I will say the walk up to the house from the village is not for the faint of heart. So be prepared if you miss the bus. We had to walk up when we arrived in Grindelwald, Luckly we only had backpacks and a small carry-on. We were there at the end of August and the bus made it's last run for the night right before 7pm, so again make sure to plan accourdingly.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Chalet Bergfink in Grindelwald. The apartment was spacious, clean, and well-appointed, with comfortable beds and a small but efficient kitchen. We especially enjoyed the outdoor seating area and the lovely gardens. Waking up to the gentle sound of cowbells was a delightful reminder that we were in the heart of the Swiss Alps!But the absolute highlight was the breathtaking view of the magnificent Eiger, right outside our window. It was truly spectacular!One suggestion for future visitors: I would strongly recommend having a car. Although there is bus service, buses run only about once an hour, particularly during the summer, and the walk uphill from the village is quite steep. This is something worth knowing in advance, especially if you are traveling with luggage or have mobility concerns.Overall, Chalet Bergfink was a wonderful place to stay, offering beautiful surroundings, comfort, and unforgettable mountain views. We would happily return!

I highly recommend this property to anyone planning to stay in Grindelwald. It’s very spacious and offers beautiful views from every part of the house. It’s conveniently close to the bus stop and within walking distance to food and grocery stores.

Cozy chalet apartment

A lovely stay

The place is simple and clean and functional. The view is great. The bus service is good. We had access to excellent hikes and enjoyed our time immensely. Good weather a help! The nearby restaurant is a very nice family run place.

Nice property, great view

The property was clean and well stocked. The mountain views from the porch and interior (including the shower!) were great. The host was very responsive and accommodating. It is quite a walk from the downtown and train station, but nice and quiet. Highly recommended!
