Cozy Apartment with Garden and unique view, near the Ski piste

This cosy and comfortable 3-room holiday apartment is fully equipped, featuring two bedrooms, each with two beds, and a living-dining room with satellite TV, a DVD player, and a stereo system. Central heating throughout the house.
The kitchen offers everything you’d expect from a modern kitchen. Our holiday apartment offers Wi-Fi internet access.
In the summer of 2022, we completely renovated the bathroom, and all the windows in the holiday apartment were replaced that same year.
From the balcony, you can enjoy the unique view of the Eiger, the lower Grindelwald Glacier, and the Fiescherhörner; a patio invites you to linger in the summer. Year-round access, a garage space, and a parking spot are available.
The chalet is located near the village centre: The train to the First region, one of the most beautiful ski areas in the Bernese Oberland, is an 8-minute walk away, and the Pfingsteggbahn (open only in summer) is just a 2-minute walk away. Buses also take holidaymakers to the Männlichenbahn valley station in just a few minutes. There’s a special ski bus for children to the ski school area in the village centre. In summer, Grindelwald serves as the starting point for many hikes.

Sports Centre: Grindelwald features a sports centre with an indoor pool (featuring the "Black Hole" slide), a wellness oasis (Finnish sauna, sanarium, steam room with fresh air area / sun terrace, solarium, massage), an artificial ice rink for ice skating, curling, and ice hockey, and a curling hall with 4 rinks.

Our rental rates include final cleaning but do NOT include the municipal visitor’s tax (starting at 1.1.2024 CHF 5.20 per guest aged 12 and older). You can either rent bed linens and towels from us for CHF 25.00 per person or bring your own.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Wow! This chalet was perfect for our needs. It was the highlight of our trip. The view from back deck made coming home every evening a delight. The interior was very comfortable. We took advantage of the kitchen most evenings and had plenty of space to relax. The location is a little far from the train station but we found that to be a plus as it was still very walkable but away from the crowded main street. We would most definitely stay here again and would recommend to friends.

The perfect stay

We stayed at Beat and Esther's chalet for a family ski holiday, and it was perfect for us. They were so accommodating and helpful, giving us good tips about the slopes and local area. We'd love to return one day!

Wonderful vacation at Chalet Friedli

Chalet Friedli is very cosy, has everything you need for a very pleasant staying. Very good and fully equipped kitchen, good bed rooms and the bath room, the terrace with the tremendous view on the Eiger, good hiking trails you can start from the chalet. We had a very good vacation.

Perfect stay

An ideal location for access to everything. It felt private yet just a short walk into town. Great patio area and garden. Lovely and warm to come back to after a day out. Our dogs enjoyed it too!

Great Location

The best place to stay in Grindelwald. It is about a 10 minute walk to get to the Grindelwald train station from the house. The House is off the main street so it is very quiet. It has 3 beds and has everything that you will need for your stay. If you are staying in Grindelwald this is the place to stay.

Lovely Chalet

This is a lovely place with a great view and a perfect location, close enough to the center of town to walk easily, but far enough away for privacy. Communication with owner was excellent, the chalet was very clean with many thoughtful amenities. Close to hiking trails. I would absolutely stay there again, it's highly recommended.

High standard alpine-style modernised chalet apartment. Quiet location right in front of the north face of the Eiger and easy reach all village facilities and all transport. We would love to come back!

Superb stay!

We’ve stayed in this region 3 times now and, out of all of the places that we’ve rented, this is our favourite. Well-equipped, stunning view, really close to everything that you’d want to see, and - above all - excellent communication and help from the owner. Would love to return.

Fabulous chalet great location

We had a fantastic stay at the chalet. Extremely comfortable & had everything we needed including a firm mattress!! Really convenient location, close to the centre to walk there within 10 minutes but far enough away for it to be quiet. The views of the Eger were outstanding as promised. Was lovely to be able to make contact with the owner before our arrival, that was really helpful. Will definitely be very high on our list of places to return to.

Warm and cozy chalet

This chalet is spacious and very cozy. The mattresses and pillows are comfortable, the water pressure in the shower is great, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We especially appreciated the living room, where we could open up the map and discuss possible hikes for the week. And the location is awesome - very close to Pfingstegg lift and a short walk to the First lift.

Amazing stay! The property has stunning views of the Eiger and is in a peaceful, quiet neighborhood. It's a beautiful walk to downtown and a 15 minute walk to the train station and Coop Store. The apartment is comfortable and well-equipped and furnished. Everything you want and need. The host is helpful and responsive. This was one of the best places we've stayed in 15 years of VRBO. We will make this property our first priority if we return to Grindelwald.

The View

Very cosy chalet,plenty of room for the two of us,very well equipped kitchen for preparing meals,communication with the host was very easy and reply’s were quick and helpful,the outdoor balcony and garden were perfect for relaxing after a busy day travelling around the mountains and the views were just spectacular,would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone looking for a rental in Grindlewald👍👍👍👍👍👍

Great week in Grindelwald

Apartment was great for us - short walk up the hill to the town for the telecabines and the night festivals, which were very enjoyable (especially the weekly Wednesday night one). Lovely view of the glacier and the mountains from the balcony and the garden. Apartment is quite small but perfectly formed and very well equipped, bathroom is especially nice and recently redone. Parking is easy, we didn't try the garage. Apartment was great value for money.

Jaw dropping views

The views from the garden and terrace are truely incredible. Could have spent the whole week watching climbers summiting the Eiger at dawn and the paragliders sweep over the majestic Grindlewald glacier. The apartment was well equipped and comfortable. It is only a few 100 metres from the centre of Grindlewald yet still felt tucked away from the hubbub of the town. Excellent walks for all abilities using the free local bus or the quite costly Grindlewald bus (recommend getting the 3 day pass).

Great chalet at Grindelwald

As a family of 3, we've had a great stay at this chalet. The chalet is near the main street of Grindelwald, but in a quiet neighbourhood. Everything you need for a great holiday, is present. The garden is spacious and has a fantastic mountain view. The chalet is in reality just a nice as on the photo's. A few cable cars are at walking distance of the chalet. We stayed in Grindelwald for a week, but the Jungfrau region has more than enough activities and sites to see to keep you busy for longer then a week. We had a great time and are left with great memories and more muscle pain then we hoped for!

We had a wonderful stay at Chalet Friedli in Grindelwald. The location was quiet, with a lovely apartment, large wrap-around balcony and access to a yard with table and chairs plus lounge chairs, but the most impressive feature were the killer mountain views, including of the famous Eiger Northface! The Pfingstegg gondola was only steps away, and the main village street with shops and restaurants was within short walking distance. The Grindelwald First gondola is a short walk away in town and the gondolas to Jungfraujoch and Maennlichen summits are reachable within a short drive. Hiking and activities, including for families, are galore in Grindelwald. And Interlaken and the two lakes, Thunder See and Brienzer See, are about 30 minutes by car. We will cherish the memories we made for a lifetime! Highly recommend staying at Chalet Friedli!
