Rustic Mountain Home Near Lassen Park
Step back in time as you enter this rustic/retro home loaded with touches of the past. Nestled among towering trees in the mountains of Northern California it's just 7 short miles to the north entrance to Lassen National Park which makes it the perfect place to stay and plan your outings into the park. Built on a hillside at 4500', this two story home is the perfect getaway for anyone wanting to escape the heat of summer. You may hear the laughter and activities of the youth attending the Christian Camp across the Lake, with July and August being their busiest months. Sit and relax with your morning coffee on the sky high deck or BBQ your dinner out back and watch the wildlife that frequents this property. Pack a lunch and drive to Lassen National Volcanic Park to hike Mt. Lassen, Mt. Brokeoff, Kings Creek or Bumpass Hell. There are many lake, streams and miles of hiking trails to explore. Hat Creek, Lake McCumber, North Battle Creek Reservoir and Bailey Creek are great fishing spots and all within a short driving distance from this home. Other day trips might include wine tasting in the Shingletown/Manton areas, a trip to Redding's Sundial Bridge, shopping and restaurants, a visit to Burney Falls or golfing in Fallriver. This cozy cabin is the perfect getaway for a few friends, couples or a small family.

What makes this property unique
Being only 7 miles from Lassen Park, our rental is the closest and it is the perfect location for anyone wanting to visit and explore this unique area. Getting away from the crowds and enjoying clean mountain air are two great reasons to visit our cabin. This is a true mountain cabin, uniquely decorated, but with all the comforts of home. The cabin is surrounded by forestland ready to be hiked and explored. You can also relax on the front deck or BBQ out back and watch the wildlife while listening to the sounds of rushing water. On most star filled nights you can look for the big dipper or other constellations or watch for satellites and falling stars. There are streams and lakes to be fished just a short distance from the cabin.
