About this property

The Cellar @Lively Farm a Family Friendly Hobby Farm Stay

Enjoy our little slice of hobby farm heaven nestled among the old-growth forest along Chehalem Creek. You'll experience the beauty of nature, the antics of our goats, chickens, rabbits, geese, ducks, and quail, and the charm of downtown Newberg. Our secluded neighborhood offers the perfect area for walking, running, or bike riding, and the wineries of Dundee are soooo close!

Although it is peaceful here, it is not quiet.
The animals make noise, especially the geese.

You are likely to hear children playing, dogs barking, footsteps from the wood floor upstairs, and sometimes piano and guitar - especially Sunday evenings.

We carefully observe quiet hours from 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM (on tiptoe)

Be warned that we live on the edge of the forest. Owls, deer, raccoons, squirrels, possums, and foxes frequent our yard.

The speed limit in the neighborhood is 15 mph. No sidewalks. Limited visibility.

This is not the place if:
- you require silence
- party after midnight
- drive carelessly, fast, or under the influence
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

My young son and I had a fantastic stay in the Cellar! The space was clean, cozy and comfortable, and was stocked with everything we could have needed during our stay. My son had a blast interacting with the animals, and Robin was an excellent, gracious host. We will be prioritizing this property next time we visit the area!

I really enjoyed staying here. The hosts are very friendly and showed my children neat things about their farm animals. The nights were quiet filled with pretty bird sounds and the days peaceful.

Everything about this stay was perfect! The location is lovely, the muffins were great, the rooms spacious and so many little touches to make it perfect. We came for a girls wine tasting trip and found it the ideal spot for visiting local restaurants and vineyards.

Wonderful place to stay! Great location for visiting vineyards. Robin was very helpful and gracious. There were fresh eggs and muffins in the fridge when we got there. A very nice touch! We also loved having the farm animals in the backyard. We would definitely stay there again!

Peaceful, beautiful, clean hideout

I was expecting a basement suite to be ... more basementy -- dark, maybe dust in the corners and a spider or two... instead we were in a bright, clean, soft welcoming space that both my kids immediately took to exploring with delight. The host was so gracious and accommodating to our needs -- it felt like staying with family that knows you need space, and makes it a hospitable, easy-going, quiet break.

Great location

The picture are cute but this property was better than expected. The bedrooms are separated by the living room and everything was very spacious. My favorite part is having a cup of coffee in the morning while watching all the animals play. I will be staying here again. One warning, you are under the house, lots of daylight but you can hear the folks upstairs moving around. I didn’t mind but I know that can get to other people.

Outstanding!

Delightful location, atmosphere and amenities. Excellent communication and greatly appreciated special accommodations from the host. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, including delicious homemade muffins and fresh eggs from their own quail and chickens. The layout is ideal with relaxing bedrooms at opposite ends and lovely bathroom, all stocked with plenty of quality linens. Be advised that there is no independent thermostat control as the suite is part of the house. This was not an issue for us, but there are floor fans and space heaters available in each bedroom if needed. Remember that this is a family home, so you will hear some activity here and there, but your privacy is respected and assured. We look forward to returning!
