Great access to downtown and pet friendly!!!!
I enjoyed my stay at the Cozy Cabin duplex in the historic Fairview neighborhood with my dogs. It has good access to downtown for meetings, events and dining as well as being centrally located for commuting within the city. The fully fenced yard; convenient clean accommodations; happy dog neighbors and safe location make this a place I will stay when I need to travel to Anchorage. It was perfect for us!

Dog friendly
Cozy, clean space with a fenced in yard that had a walkway shoveled so the yard was still useable despite all the snow. Exactly what we needed staying in Anchorage for two weeks with our dogs. Michele is quick to respond if needed. Short drive to downtown.

Cozy, Clean, and Safe
I spent 2 weeks at this property. It was perfect for me!!! Close to all I needed. It was warm, clean, and well equipped. The owner was great at communicating with me and I even got to meet her very friendly dogs outside in the yard one day. I hope to be able to return there someday soon.

Cute and comfortable
Everything you need is here--way better than a hotel. Michele is a great hostess and super responsive. Would stay again or at another of her properties.

Very nice cabin
We had a great stay at this home. It was nice to be able to have our dog stay with us and have a fenced in yard for him to use. It was a well stocked home, and had all the dishes, pots and pans we needed. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

About the host

Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, I moved to Alaska in 1998 to work in Deadhorse-Prudhoe Bay, in the Arctic on the Beaufort Sea. I quickly became enchanted with this beautiful place we call Alaska! If you love the outdoors, this is the place!

Why they chose this property

I purchased this duplex in 2002 along with two more, and made four of the units, fully furnished guesthouses. You may rent both the Cottage (912285) and the Cabin if you require more room. Since then I have had the pleasure of welcoming guests from all over the world to our city nestled between Cook Inlet and the Chugach Mountains.

What makes this property unique

The convenience of being near to downtown and midtown, the Seward Highway heading south and the Glenn Highway heading north, make this a perfect location to get out and experience Anchorage and nearby attractions. The two cottages in the back, The Cabin and The Cottage (912285) are only one of two in all of Anchorage. Built in 1951 to accommodate personnel at the first airstrip, Merrill Field, they have been completely renovated in the past couple years, and the Cabin and Cottage are now quite cute and comfortable.
