About this property

Unique Container Home 15 min to Asheville – Walk to Warren Wilson, Pet Friendly!

Escape to a one‑of‑a‑kind container conversion home just 15 minutes from downtown Asheville and Black Mountain — and walking distance to Warren Wilson College. Perfect for families, couples, parents visiting campus, and pet owners, this 3BR/2.5BA retreat blends modern design with rustic touches and all the comforts of home.

Spend your days exploring Asheville’s breweries, the Biltmore Estate, and scenic hiking trails, then return to unwind on the wrap‑around deck or gather around the firepit under the stars.

Conveniently located at the end of a quiet wooded road, the property feels private and peaceful yet close to everything. The large yard is perfect for kids and dogs, and the firepit is a favorite spot for evening s’mores or a glass of wine.

Inside, the home is beautifully designed around a central shipping container, combining casual sophistication with a cozy atmosphere. The main level features wood floors, high ceilings, and big windows for natural light. Here you’ll find the open living, dining, and kitchen area, a large pantry, a half bath, and the primary bedroom suite.

The primary bedroom has a king bed, ensuite bathroom, and a walk‑in closet — roomy enough for a travel crib or dog bed if needed.

Upstairs, a carpeted loft provides a comfortable work space with a desk for remote work or study. Two additional bedrooms each feature a queen bed and closet space. A second full bathroom with a tub/shower combo serves the upstairs bedrooms.

Step outside to enjoy the wrap‑around deck with dining for six, a private yard for pets to roam, and a firepit surrounded by Adirondack chairs. Local wildlife like deer and wild turkeys sometimes wander by — adding to the true North Carolina feel.

Wonderful stay. My kids told me they felt at home and enjoyed the rooms. Everything there is to do is within 30 minutes.

This is a great property. Out in the woods at the end of a quiet street, friendly neighbors, it's close to Black Mountain, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and downtown. The check-in process couldn't have been easier and communication with the host was effortless and she was very responsive. The house was clean and well equipped with plenty of kitchen amenities and supplies. Everything was in good working order. There is a nice deck on the back that overlooks the woods and is a great place to enjoy a morning coffee in the sun. We would definitely recommend this place, it's a perfect Asheville experience!
