Gem on Lake Michigan Beachfront - Unsalted/Unstressed/Uncrowded

Not your typical dark and shady Michigan cabin but instead a true beach cottage floating above the sand with 60 feet of private Lake Michigan beachfront. Being right on the water instead of up in the woods allows for great breezes and views. Just walk down one flight of stairs from the deck onto sand path to beach; no steep bluff, just slight hill to the water. Enjoy our world class, rock-free, uncrowded, white sugar-sand beach, incredible fresh water, and Milky Way nights. Play on the sand dunes, read as the waves lap over your feet, build sand castles, go for romantic walks or incredible runs at the water’s edge and enjoy the most beautiful sunsets in the world. Listen to the waves and let yourself relax.

Our cottage is situated on a dead-end street of owner occupied cottages so there is minimal traffic and noise. This is our private home and capacity limit is 4 people, sorry, no pets. Please see rental agreement which is required for booking. Checkout day is Sunday, stay for at least 7 nights, 10 to 14 nights is recommended for maximum relaxation.

Walking or running along the road which follows the shoreline and goes up into the woods toward Bass Lake is great exercise. If you enjoy biking, you can enjoy a quick, easy 2.5 mile bike ride into the Village of Pentwater for a coffee or ice cream treat, the Farmers Market, or trip to the library. Or, for a longer tour, start at the Hart Montague Trail Head in Hart, MI, through agricultural fields (mainly fruit trees and asparagus) and past our local Country Dairy where you can stop for lunch. Country Dairy offers grass-fed beef hamburgers, sandwiches, and unlimited cups of fresh-made white or chocolate milk! Plus, homemade ice cream for dessert. The Hart-Montague bike trail is the first rails-to-trails conversion in the state of Michigan. It's flat and often under a tree-covered canopy.

Queen bed in master BR with windows to the Lake so you can lie in bed and listen to the waves. East BR with another queen. Lake front corner has two, day beds with curtains to close off for sleeping. Bathroom has separate shower room for flexibility. Master BR has another sink.
