Message us for early arrivals The Blue Llama is a privately owned condo at Waterwheel Condominiums. Centrally located, just 2 minutes from Schliterbahn, Comal river, historic Gruene, Gruene Hall, and downtown. Perfect spot to stay for Wurstfest. This 3rd floor corner unit features 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. Guests have private access to the Guadalupe river. The property has two pools (one heated) and 4 hot tubs. Get back in touch with nature and enjoy the wide open green lawn shaded by pecan trees.
The Blue Llama is a great place to kick back and relax! A bit of an adult upgrade from your reminiscent child hood tree house, nestled on the third floor with pecan trees all around.

Enjoy all that the Texas hill Country has to offer with the Guadelupe river right in your back yard, connecting to the Comal, and Schlitterbahn a walk away, what more could one ask for? Historic Gruene is around the corner as well as downtown New Braunfels. Whitewater amphitheater, Canyon Lake, Lake Mcqueeney, Lake Dunlap are not to far away.

This was the perfect setting in New Braunfels to allow us to see family members from Austin to San Antonio! Ample room for 4 adults and a pet and all the amenities we needed for an extended stay. We really enjoyed the location and this specific property. Our Host provided everything we needed and made the experience one we would like to repeat!

We had the best trip with family and friends! The condo was great, beautiful and big. There was plenty of room for all of us! The property is gorgeous! The host even sent us a treat from Nothing Bundt Cakes! Would definitely stay again and recommend!

Enjoying New Braunfels

We really enjoyed our stay at the Blue Llama. Ideal location, near everything New Braunfels has to offer and a short drive to Gruene as well. The facility has great amenities, pools and hot tubs, plus private river access. We saw security patrolling the parking lots and grounds on several occasions. Aimee was a great host and provided us recommendations for local restaurants. The condo had everything we needed for our stay.

Perfect get away!!!

I highly recommend!! The condo was even better in person! It was exceptionally clean. The location & neighborhood are excellent. Aimee is an amazing host. Any question or concerns we had Aimee responded very quickly. Couldn't have asked for a better host. We will definitely be back!

Great reunion

The property was exactly as described. My friends and I did not use the amentities on the property so i cannot comment on those but the property was perfect! We were in town to meet aup with an old high school friend that live in New Braunfels. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Very clean. Newly updated

Spring Break 2024

I drove my 15 year old son and two of his friends from California to the Texas Hill Country to tube down the river, see The Eclipse, and visit family. Aimee helped me add a night at the last minute and gave me so many different options for tubing, restaurants, things to do and answered all of my questions quickly. The condo was very clean and had plenty of room for all of us and have my aunts visit for the day. The Guadalupe River is at the back of the property down a grassy hill. The boys loved it. The deer were everywhere and we so enjoyed seeing them walking about and hanging out. I would definitely stay at The Blue Llama again!!!!!

The instruction of what to do when leaving the condo are very confusing. The initial instructions, the ones I printed at home say to strip the beds. The instructions for getting into the condo are not easy to find on VRBO app for someone who is not familiar with navigating the app. (Messages shows a picture of the condo) didn't know I had to double click on picture to get my message. The clock in the living room was not working (Dead battery). There was only one blow dryer available the first night. The night lights in the long dark hallway would not stay plugged in. (new ones were delivered the next day) The rug mats outside the showers needed cleaning. We had to put a parking pass on our car (we had nothing to write with) which could have been disastrous if they had towed us away.
