OBX Stay in Duck

We took a family and friends trip to the Outer Banks — the first time to the OBX for all 7 of us. We couldn’t have picked a better place to stay! The house was perfect. We each had our own room and in-room bathroom. The top floor held the kitchen, living and dining area with the master bedroom and powder bathroom. It was a beautiful space. We loved gathering there! We also watched a movie in the theater room on the lower level — so much fun. All around a beautiful home in the beautiful setting of Duck. James responded promptly to all questions. We loved it, thank you James!

My family of 9 really enjoyed the house for our yearly beach stay. The outdoor front yard was a great place to stargaze. Kitchen was well stocked; two dishwashers and an abundance of dishware and glassware. Having so many bedrooms with their own bathrooms was a bonus! We all enjoyed watching movies in the theatre room but the furniture was showing its wear.A couple takeaways…please be advised that the dining room table top is glass with debris between it and the table surface. A long rectangular tablecloth would be advised. Easy fix!The walk to the beach was too long to carry many items, so we drove down to the end of the road where at least parking was usually available. The actual beach access was difficult for anyone with mobility issues; very steep steps to go up then down to the beach with all your belongings. The house does not provide beach equipment. Our biggest disappointment was that the hot tub was placed in a very run down spot near the back entrance. We didn’t use it once because of the surrounding. We did love the beautiful saltwater pool though! There was no umbrella on the table as pictured. The placement of the wash-off hose was not helpful since water accumulated on the outside doormat, making it difficult to clean off after the beach. We definitely enjoyed the inside of the house and pool table was a big plus. All in all, a spacious home, well decorated and equipped. The elevator was definitely a plus!
