About this property

Yeti's Tree House: Where Magic Happens

“Thank you for creating such a magical place...” — Recent Guest

“Best Tree House I’ve ever seen!” — Recent Guest

Come disappear into the woods for a while.

Perched 18 feet above the ground and held up by four living trees, this is the kind of real treehouse most of us dreamed about as kids—but with a giant soaking tub, fireplace, full bathroom, kitchen, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and a very comfortable bed.

And if you really want to make your stay unforgettable, ask Peter about scheduling your very own Bigfoot sighting. :-) You never know what might come wandering through these woods...

Zip line down, soak under the trees, wander the forest trail to the suspension bridge, or simply sit on the deck and listen to the woods. Deer, owls, eagles, rabbits, chipmunks and the occasional coyote have all been known to share the neighborhood.

The craziest part? You’ll feel like you’ve escaped deep into the forest, yet you’re only about 10 minutes from some of the best Portland has to offer.

### The space

This isn’t a treehouse that simply sits near some trees—the trees are part of it.

Three enormous trees grow right through the deck and are visible from the windows inside. The huge deck has its own dining area and is surrounded by beautiful forest views and wonderful solitude.

Inside, everything has a little personality. The kitchen features fun retro-style appliances, pine walls give the entire space a warm cabin feeling, and the fireplace glows beside the dining area while warming the treehouse.

The full indoor bathroom features an artistic tiled shower, so you get the adventure of sleeping in the trees without giving up the comforts of home.

Even getting upstairs is fun. The brilliantly designed space-saving staircase is much easier to navigate than the ladders and steep stairs found in many tiny homes.

Upstairs you’ll find a super-comfy queen bed, a couch/workspace that converts into a double bed, and one of our favorite features—a giant hammock suspended above the living area.

Curl up in the hammock and watch a movie while floating above the room below. Fair warning: it’s so comfortable you may start negotiating over who gets to sleep there.

Then look up.

Three skylights frame the massive trees overhead, along with three upstairs windows that make you feel completely surrounded by the forest.

Outside, take a magical stroll through the woods to the suspension bridge, try the zip line, relax in the giant soaking tub, or just enjoy being somewhere that feels very far away from ordinary life.

And when you’re ready for civilization, Portland is right there. The Rose Garden, Council Crest, beautiful hiking, Northwest Portland, great restaurants, Bamboo Sushi, Salt & Straw, Voodoo Doughnut and many of the city’s best-known attractions are only minutes away.

You get the forest retreat without giving up the city.

And remember: if an ordinary treehouse getaway just isn’t adventurous enough...

Schedule your own Bigfoot sighting with Peter after booking. It might just become the story everyone remembers most. :-)

### Getting to the treehouse

Part of the fun is getting there. From the parking area, it’s a short 2–3 minute walk along a forest trail to the treehouse.

Please wear appropriate shoes. The trail is part of the natural woodland setting and can occasionally be slick, especially when wet.

### Guest access

You’ll have access to the Tree House, the huge private deck, the giant soaking tub, and the secluded picnic area.

Two designated parking spaces are provided near the beginning of the trail.

We ask guests to stay within the designated Tree House, deck, soaking tub, picnic, and trail areas. Although it feels incredibly secluded, there are neighbors nearby.

Pets are welcome but must remain on a leash while outside.

Come climb into the trees, forget what time it is, soak under the forest canopy, cross the suspension bridge, listen for owls...

...and maybe keep one eye open for Bigfoot. :-)

Excellent spot to entice kids into a fun vacation. My tween daughters especially loved the hammock netting and the hot tub. Really cool spot for a family nestled in the woods of Portland.

Perfect place to stay and relax. The zip line and hot soaking tub were great additions. The property manager was extremely helpful and made sure we were perfectly cared for. Staying at the yeti tree house was a unique experience that we will gladly share with our friends and family.

What a wonderfully unique place to stay. We spent 4 nights at yeti's treehouse. My kids are 8&9. They absolutely loved the magic of the settings. They want their own zip line and soaking tub now, and asked if we can come back next summer. I was pleasantly surprised to find cooking oil and spray, as well as salt in the kitchen. I had actually brought my own because these things are never present at previous places. My 9 year old absolutely loved the cargo net for sleeping. I loved the washer and dryer. Next time I will bring fewer clothes! So ultimately, if you are wanting a unique place to stay, close to fun in Portland, while not even needing to leave the vrbo to have a good time, this is the place!

We LOVED our stay in the Yeti Treehouse! The bathroom is huge, decor is adorable, and hammock & bed were comfortable. It was a fun and unique stay, while being close to all of the conveniences of the city. It was a beautiful short walk through the woods, and there are plenty of birds to enjoy while you sit on the porch drinking coffee or soaking in the hot tub!The videos for check in were also very helpful!

While the tree house was quite charming (the appliances were adorable) and offered unique lodging! The path to get to the tree house requires careful navigation and could be challenging for some guests! The property could REALLY benefit from a thorough cleaning between guests, I am sorry, but it was very clear it had not been deep cleaned. The tea pot still had tea in it and a trail of ants found it! I was also surprised to find the property had VERY limited outdoor space for enjoying the surroundings because it was nestled in the trees and pretty. There was a picnic table, but it was not at all usable! I was overall disappointed in my stay!

Dear Heather Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We genuinely care about the experiences of our guests, and we take every review seriously as we look for ways to improve. We are so sorry to hear that the layout did not quite meet your expectations. Because we host a high volume of wonderful guests, we are constantly working hard behind the scenes to maintain the property. We wanted to let you know that we have recently pressure-washed the outdoor areas, invested in deep cleaning, and have ongoing upgrades in motion to keep everything in top shape. To provide a bit of context for future travelers reading this, our home is located in a beautiful, natural setting—specifically in the Klein area—which offers a unique getaway. In all our time hosting, you are actually the very first guest to feel that the space was tight or that the picnic table was unusable. Most of our families find that the massive deck, the exciting zipline, and the dedicated picnic area tucked into the trail provide an amazing, spacious outdoor experience. That being said, we know that every group's needs are different. We truly appreciate you choosing our home for your stay, and we wish you nothing but the best in your future travels. Warm regards, [Peter, Management]"

Perfect little tree house. Kitchen had what we needed to prepare some snacks. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean. Stairs getting up to the loft took a little getting used it. Zip line was a nice touch. Kept the kids busy for a bit. Walk from the car to the tree house wasn’t too bad. We didn’t use the soaking tub but I took a peak and it was clean. Tree house is very close to food and shopping. Would recommend and stay here again.

I grew up in the N.W. And, I must say, my whole life I did not know this area existed. There is nothing like it so close to town. I'm a musician and an author. I love the outdoors, and I'm passionate about creating this "experience." That is how I see it. It's not just a place to stay. It's an experience. A place that can reset the soul!

Why they chose this property

There is no neighborhood anywhere this close to Portland like my property. There literally are countless wildlife from flying squirrels to deer, eagles and owls etc. AND, it's believed there is a friendly Sasquatch. I have a picture myself.

What makes this property unique

It feels like you are one hundred miles away from it all yet you are five to ten minutes from the best that Portland and Beaverton has to offer!
