Sasquatch's Tiny Treehouse on creek - old growth forest in Portland - ADVENTURE!
S# Sasquatch’s Tiny Treehouse on Bear Creek ### A Magical Woodland Adventure Just 10 Minutes from Portland
Welcome to one of the most unforgettable stays in the Portland area.
Tucked beside beautiful Bear Creek and surrounded by towering trees, wildlife, and pure storybook charm, Sasquatch’s Tiny Treehouse isn’t simply a place to sleep—it’s an adventure.
And yes… this is Sasquatch country.
Want to turn your stay into a story your family and friends will talk about for years? After booking, contact Peter to schedule your very own Bigfoot sighting. :-) Keep your eyes on the trees—you never know when the legendary resident of these woods might decide to make an appearance.
This tiny woodland retreat was created for guests looking for something rare, whimsical, playful, romantic, and completely different from an ordinary hotel stay.
Fall asleep to the sounds of Bear Creek. Wake up to birdsong. Step outside and watch the forest come alive.
Deer, elk, owls, flying squirrels, rabbits, and other woodland visitors may wander through. Look into the clear creek below and you may even spot fish and crawdads moving through the water.
It feels like you’ve discovered your own secret woodland kingdom.
And somehow, you’re still only about 10 minutes from Portland.
## The Adventure Begins Before You Arrive
Getting to Sasquatch’s Tiny Treehouse is part of the experience.
From the parking area, follow a roughly 4-minute forest trail through the trees. Then comes the part guests remember—a breathtaking 100-foot suspension bridge high above the forest floor leading toward your hidden retreat.
Crossing the bridge feels a little like leaving the ordinary world behind.
On the other side: Bear Creek, towering trees, fresh air, wildlife, and your tiny hideaway in the woods.
This stay is definitely for the adventurous at heart.
## Explore, Play & Look Up
Once you’re here, there’s plenty to discover.
Play a round of cornhole. Challenge someone to giant tic-tac-toe. Wander through the enormous labyrinth and see if you can find your way out.
And don’t forget to LOOK UP.
Hidden somewhere among the trees, nearly 70 feet above the ground, is a giant dreamcatcher.
Can you find it?
Listen to the creek. Watch for owls. Look for deer moving through the woods.
And, of course, keep an eye out for Sasquatch. :-)
There truly isn’t anything else quite like this in Portland. The property is so unusual that special permits had to be created to help make this one-of-a-kind experience possible.
## A Few Things to Know
The bathroom is located in a separate unit approximately 10 feet from the Tiny Treehouse and is occasionally shared with guests from one nearby unit.
The journey to the treehouse involves a natural forest trail and suspension bridge, so comfortable, appropriate footwear is strongly recommended.
This is a peaceful woodland escape—not a party property. It’s designed for guests who want to enjoy the forest, the creek, the wildlife, and the wonderfully strange little world we’ve created here.
## Come for the Treehouse. Leave With a Story.
If you’re looking for ordinary, this probably isn’t it.
But if you’re looking for magic, nature, whimsy, romance, adventure, suspension bridges, hidden dreamcatchers, wildlife, and the possibility of coming face-to-face with the most famous creature in the Pacific Northwest…
You may have just found your place.
And if you want to make absolutely certain Bigfoot doesn’t miss your visit, contact Peter after booking to schedule your own Bigfoot sighting. :-)
Come ready to play.
Come ready to explore.
And whatever you do… keep watching the trees.

OMG!! If you are adventurous and feeling young at heart, this is your spot!!! We absolutely love having non-traditional experiences and this was right up our alley. We love how beautiful, peaceful, and thoughtful this tiny home was. Everything from the adventure of following the fun pathway, to the get over it bridge, to following Sasquatch foot prints to the planks captured my heart from the the 1 second we arrived. I want to live here!!!!
Unfortunately, our reservation was double-booked. When we arrived, the cabin was already occupied by another guest. We were unable to reach anyone from either the property or Vrbo who could help at the time, so we had to spend part of our vacation finding another place to stay.
Communication was difficult throughout the process. We booked through Expedia, and because the reservation was processed through Vrbo, we were unable to receive messages or check-in instructions. In the end, that wouldn't have mattered since the cabin was already occupied.
A representative from the property contacted us more than 24 hours later and quickly refunded the portion they controlled, but the rest had to be handled through Vrbo, which took additional time and effort during our trip.
A few other things future guests should know: the cabin was much smaller than expected and would have been very tight for our family of four. The bridge leading to it is missing several planks, making it less than ideal when carrying luggage. The creek was dry during our early June visit, though that may be seasonal.
I'm leaving this review because we were told that double bookings happen fairly regularly. Mistakes happen, but I hope additional steps are taken to prevent future guests from arriving after a long day of travel only to find their accommodations already occupied, and no way to get any resolution.
Overall, this property was amazing. The lighting along the trail at night is beautiful. The only downsides are that accessing the rooms can be challenging if you have a lot of luggage or mobility limitations, and the bathroom is a bit small for taller or larger guests. That said, I absolutely loved this place. Despite being right in town, it feels like you're miles away from the city. The bed is incredibly comfortable, and falling asleep to the sound of the creek below was so relaxing. I would absolutely recommend staying here and will definitely book again the next time I'm in the Portland area.
