Located in the quiet Hollywood/Grant Park area, you’ll be just 15 minutes from downtown Portland and PDX Airport, with easy access to I-84 and public transit.

Relax by the fireplace after a day exploring the city, walk to neighborhood cafés and parks, and enjoy a peaceful stay away from the downtown crowds.

This detached guest cottage sits behind our beautifully maintained 1912 Craftsman bungalow and was thoughtfully designed to blend historic Portland charm with modern comfort and privacy.

Inside you’ll find:

+ Queen-sized Serta pillow-top mattress
+ Quality linens, plush towels, and thoughtful touches throughout
+ Fully equipped kitchen for longer stays or home-cooked meals

+ 1.5 bathrooms

The living room sofa converts into a double bed, allowing the cottage to comfortably accommodate up to 4 guests (please let us know if you'll be using the sofa bed so that we can provide linens). Extra linens are available upon request.

There is also room upstairs for a portable crib or pack-n-play (not provided).

This place was beautiful. It was the perfect size. It had everything you could think of, perfect location. The owner was amazing, and great communication. The rosemary bush and the smell was fantastic! The beautiful hydrangeas out front made it even more welcoming. We will definitely be staying here again if we ever come back to Portland!

Such a nice and clean rental in a cute neighborhood! Lots of lights inside and pretty flowers outside. It was perfect for our party of 3! The owner was super helpful and responsive. Wish we could have stayed longer and hope to return soon!

We loved our stay here! The cottage is so clean and welcoming. The bedroom is very comfortable with good quality linens, mattress, and pillows. We met Jeff and he is super friendly and had great suggestions on things to do around Portland. The hosts were also very flexible with check in as well as check out because we ran into some issues so we appreciated the accomodation! We had a wonderful time staying at Jeff & Satish’s lovely rental in the Hollywood neighborhood. The house is well thought out and Cheerful, located in an area with lots of things in a walkable distance. Jeff was available to answer any questions and offer local advice. My dad and I were in town house hunting for my family and we really enjoyed our stay, the place is very clean and self sufficient with everything you could need. We were impressed that it was a two bathroom as well, one on each floor which is perfect for two people who want their own space at night. The pull out couch is quite comfortable for what it is and extra bedding was nice. Good location, right in the middle of lots of things which made it a good home base. The hosts are very kind and responsive if you need them as well. Would highly recommend and we would stay again :)

Why they chose this property

We built this cottage in 2015 to complement the style and character of our 1911 Craftsman bungalow. We wanted to preserve the classic charm and architecture of the neighborhood while creating a modern, comfortable retreat for guests. From the outside, the cottage reflects Portland’s timeless bungalow style, while inside you’ll find all the modern comforts of home.

We chose this neighborhood because it offers the best of Portland living—quiet, walkable streets with easy access to downtown, restaurants, cafés, parks, and public transportation. One of the things we enjoy most is how convenient and connected everything feels here. Whether biking, walking, driving, or taking the MAX, it’s easy to explore nearly every part of the city from this central location.

What makes our cottage unique is the combination of privacy, comfort, and location. Unlike many city rentals, this is a fully detached private cottage in a quiet residential neighborhood, while still being just minutes from downtown Portland, the airport, restaurants, parks, and public transportation.

Guests often tell us they love how peaceful, clean, and comfortable the space feels. We designed the cottage to reflect the charm of Portland’s historic Craftsman homes while offering modern amenities like air conditioning, fast Wi-Fi, a gas fireplace, quality bedding, and easy parking.
