Very clean, 5 minute drive to graduation and Nex store. Nigel was very attentive responded to every text and call! He even got us an air mattress to accommodate our group! Highly recommend! Much better than staying in a hotel.

Perfect spot for navy graduation- less than 5 minutes to either gate 8 or 6 for graduation or returning them from liberty. House was great- no issues at all, host even last minute allowed up to extend our stay 1 night- our son got late notice he got an additional liberty day prior to flying out for A school. Perfect 3 bedroom 1 bath navy graduation stay- much better than a hotel for our sailor- thanks Nigel!!

Our stay was for our Sons graduation from Great Lakes. It was a great location 5 minutes from the base. House was the perfect size we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Easy check in. Owner. Provided great service. Would definitely recommend.

If you’re coming for bootcamp graduation, the location is perfect. Literally you could hear rev and taps from the duplex. There was a maintenance issue with a basement leak but Nigel addressed it quickly and was happy to relocate us if need be which was awesome. The place is perfect if you’re looking for a place to stay with your sailor to hang out after liberty and you’re working with a budget!

This home was welcoming for me and my family. The cleanliness was definitely top notch 100% The space was enough to be comfortable and spread out. Perfect & great location for Navy RTC

Nigel, the host, was very quick to respond to all of our questions. The unit was quite spacious and easily accommodated 4 adults comfortably. All the necessities one may need are available in the unit for guests. We were visiting for Navy RTC Ceremony and the location was very convenient for this. The location really couldn’t have been better. Convenience shopping, grocery and restaurants were all close by as well. Parking was off street and easily accessible. If we ever had the need, we would stay here again without hesitation.

Navy Boot Camp Graduation

It was really nice being less than 5 minutes from the Navy base. The beds were comfortable and the thermostat was set at a good temperature, we didn't need to adjust it. Plenty of towels and washcloths just no hand towels. The three bedrooms were set a little higher than the living room/kitchen so you do need to watch your step going in and out of the bedrooms. If we had reason to be in the Great Lakes area again, we would try and stay at this place again. Thank you, Nigel, for a wonderful stay. On a side note, the Escape Room in Gurnee Mills is worth the 16-minute drive.

Convenient for RTC graduations

Property is 4 min away from the gate at RTC Great Lakes. Accommodations are nothing to write home about. Just ok. Host is very responsive. However, he came to reset the router for the internet and left the front door unlocked and ajar. Neighborhood is not bad, but certainly not the one to leave the door unlocked. My chief complaint here was the AC. Thermostat and actual house temperature differs by a lot. The first night we were sweating for about four hours until the AC caught up. The second night, other people arrived at the property next door and the AC outright couldn’t keep up. It was so hot in there we couldn’t sleep. I sweated like a hog all night.

Thank you for your feedback. I’d like to clarify that I never physically visited the property during your stay. When you reached out about the Wi-Fi issue, I responded within 5 minutes and helped you resolve it remotely—the issue was due to using the incorrect password. At no point did I enter the home, so if the front door was left unlocked, it was not by me. We’ve never received complaints about the AC before, and the unit has been functioning properly in recent inspections. We encourage all guests to notify us of any discomfort or issues during their stay so we can address them promptly. We appreciate your stay and take all feedback seriously in our effort to improve.
