I really enjoyed my stay. It's obvious Julia thought about all the little things when stocking the boat. Everything is very clean and modern. The sunroom was great to watch the marinas working boats come and go with fisherman and day sailers as well as observing the sea birds and ducks hanging out by the boats.
We stayed with our two teens for something different and a break between sightseeing in DC and NY. The two vanity areas and divided bathroom (sliding door between toilet and shower, each with a sink) were helpful for a family of four. The host was very helpful. Fun stay!
Quite charming and cute. 25gal hot water had me worried with 5 people, but it worked out fine. Really cute space and rooftop deck was great for coffee and a good book.
Our weekend stay at Julia’s Arc was truly the perfect weekend!!! The location is perfect and the boat is so clean, cozy, beautifully decorated, and generously stocked. We felt so calm and happy during our whole stay. The top deck is a perfect spot to have a cup of coffee or watch the sunset. Plus, the host, Julia was so accommodating and sweet. We really hope to go back soon!
If you are looking for a unique housing experience I strongly recommend a stay at this boathouse in Kentmoor Marina. The houseboat is as described with one bedroom having a double bed and the second a single fold out bed. The multiple purpose great room contains a double sofa sleeper that was comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with all the amenities one would need to include a dishwasher. Spent 5 days onboard enjoying Kent Island and Annapolis. You can bike, golf, fish walk or run the trails. The restaurants offered exceptionally fresh fish and delicious crab oe crab cakes. It’s perfect for a couple to unwind from life in the city.
Julia was so nice and I absolutely loved my time on her house boat. I was sad to leave! It was so quiet and comfy and relaxing and the Kentmorr is so close that you could walk right over anytime you wanted. Cant wait to return!
Host very easy to work with and what ended up to be a gifted stay for a couple rather than a girls weekend away was much appreciated. Would recommend this property and would stay there again.
Beautiful houseboat to stay in for a week and explore the Eastern side of Maryland. The houseboat is gorgeous inside and has many private areas if you just want to get away from the group. Highly recommended and look forward to renting it again.
We loved our stay. It was particularly nice to get away from all the "hustle and bustle" of the Sailboat Show. The unit was well-equipped and comfortable. We loved the upper deck! In fact, we had morning coffee, on day, and watched 2 eagles in a nearby tree.
The boat house was so relaxing and just what we needed to get away and unwind. We would love to come back when it is not off season because I imagine then it is even more fun! We loved it !
My daughter & I had 4 nights of pure joy in this boat house. It was a new experience and so worth it ! Thank you, Julia
The upgrades & space are fantastic in this boat house.
Very clean and quiet place. This was a great place to get my “mid” off the yard for some time to decompress. The only note I would make is that the second bedroom with the “double sofa bed” is really more suited for little people. This would be a little small for 6 full sized adults.

About the host
Hosted by Julia
I am a Covid 19 retired Pediatric ER physician living my second career. I love the water and have spent many miles sailing in the Bay and all over the world. My daughter and grandsons live in Easton, MD. I am trying to leave them with at least a little legacy and not burden them in my old age. So I am creating equity by renting out my home and this vacation home when I’m not there. I have to admit it was a fun creative project to renovate this boat and I love sharing it with my guests.
Why they chose this property
This houseboat is a place to just sit back and relax and let the marine life come to you. It is also close to Annapolis, MD and all it has to offer.
What makes this property unique
It has been decorated to reflect the uniqueness of the Mid and Eastern Shore of Maryland. I like to call it Nautical Farmhouse. The marina has many fishing charter boats and a water front restaurant. It also has its own private beach.
