Spent one night here to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. Wish we could have stayed a week! Super clean, very cozy and private. Felt right at home. Added bonus of not having a TV or wifi! Perfect place to spend time with each other and nature without distraction.
I spent a week working on the EBT Railroad and it was great to have a quiet retreat to come home to in the evenings. The Cottage had all the amenities and appliances that I needed to relax and even make a few home cooked meals. This is my go-to place to stay when I'm in the Orbisonia area.
We should have stayed 2 days to relax more. The place is nice, and if stayed longer we would bring or buy some of our food to cook and hang out there. The song birds were on cue as they were singing away Saturday morning.Loved it!
A sweet little blue bungalow with birdies to match
A great little stay away from the city to enjoy some peace, quiet, and good ol’ Mother Nature. A very welcoming and clean cabin, the perfect place to reconnect with yourself
Cabin was warm and inviting! Enjoyed local excursions at Trough Creek Park, Raystown Lake, and Lincoln Caverns. Definitely delivered on a relaxing, peaceful weekend.
I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. I came by myself this trip to spend time on the east broad top railroad and Raytown Lake. From the moment I walked in I was impressed with how clean and comfortable it felt. The property owners have a great little cabin here and I hope to come back. I had a great time and a great stay.
We enjoyed the peaceful nature of songbird cottage and appreciated how well-stocked the cabin was. We also loved the opportunity to observe the birds, squirrels, and deer that frequently visited the property.
This cottage was exactly what my partner and I needed. It was beautiful and private. Sitting on the back deck and watching the squirrels and birds was so nice. My partner liked shooing the squirrels away from the bird feeder. The hosts provided almost everything, all you needed was food. Having a campfire every night was so precious to us and helped us connect. The grate for the campfire is an excellent touch, making food on the fire a breeze. The only thing that i would tell others is watch out for the mountain roads in the area!! The are very curvy and very steep, drive carefully! It is all worth though, we will definitely be back!!
Perfect spot for my husband and I to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. It’s off the beaten path yet just anywhere between a 20-45 minute drive to local restaurants; golf; and Raystown Lake. Loved exploring the beautiful surrounding area.
We celebrated our 10 year anniversary and rode the steam engine at EBT. We have other plans as well but skipped them to come back to the cottage and watch the birds, chill and enjoy no tv. Thy have everything you need in the kitchen pantry and bathroom which has a great shower head with lots of water pressure. There’s even tooth past. The towels were quality and the bed was nice too. They even had spices and oils for cooking. Loved that they had teas and coffee as well. Just show up and enjoy the peace and quiet.
I was visiting the area to work for the EBT railroad and wanted more than just a hotel. The cottage was clean and quiet as promised. It is well stocked with what I needed to be able to cook some nice meals after a hard day's work. While it doesn't have WiFi, there is a good enough connection that a cellular phone hot spot will work. This is my preferred stay in the Orbisonia area.
Excellent property - just as advertised. It is a cozy cottage with all the amenities I needed for cooking and relaxing. There is no WiFi, but is close enough to town to get a decent cellular signal for needed communication. Peaceful, quiet, clean. Loved it!
Very cute little place was just to get away my husband and I needed, while grieving. It was a peaceful serenity. Loved seeing all the various birds and other animals. I was concerned of cell service since our kids were not with us but both AT&T and Verizon phones had service. Thank you so much for the lovely stay!
This home is immaculately clean and decorated well with a homey feel. The host had the electric fireplace and fairy lights on to greet us. It was such a nice feeling walking into such a warm feeling home. The host had already set up the fire pit which was a huge help to a suburban girl like me. We had a nice fireside chat. I highly recommend and will likely rebook this someday. Thank you!
