We love the neighborhood around Belle Haven Cottage because it offers the best of Lake Lanier—peaceful, scenic, and perfectly positioned for exploring North Georgia.

Located on the north end of the lake, our cove is noticeably calmer and quieter than the busier southern areas. Mornings are unhurried, boat traffic is lighter, and the water often feels glassy—ideal for kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing, or simply sipping coffee on the dock while the lake wakes up. It’s the kind of setting where you can truly relax and reconnect, surrounded by trees, birdsong, and open sky.

Another reason we love this area is how close it is to the mountains. From Belle Haven Cottage, you’re within easy reach of hiking trails, waterfalls, scenic overlooks, wineries, and seasonal adventures like apple picking and leaf peeping. Helen, with its unique Bavarian charm, festivals, tubing, and alpine scenery, offers a fun and festive change of pace for all ages. Both are easy drives, making day trips effortless and memorable.
