Romantic Retreat - 2 person K Suite, Kitchenette, Pvt deck/Spa! Pet Friendly!

Historic Romantic Retreat dates back to the 1880`s when this building was used as a cistern for the adjacent Cigar Maker Cottages. Over the years, a building was added on top of the cistern when rainwater was no longer collected/used from the gutters.

It has been totally renovated with vaulted ceilings throughout. Painted in a light tropical blue with colorful art, this delightful private unit. An under counter refrigerator/freezer, toaster/oven, microwave, blender are perfect for light meals. The 14" king memory foam mattress with storage drawers underneath sleeps 2 perfectly. A 32” Smart TV, Bluetooth speaker, Alexa are provided for your enjoyment. Cooled with ceiling fans/Mitsubishi split unit for cooling and heat, plantation shutters will remind you you are on a tropical Island. Use of 2 heated pools, the Family pool right outside your door or the Adult’s Only pool across the street at 915 Center St., behind Caribbean Cottage. The bathroom has a tub with moveable showerhead, hairdryer and all the bathroom amenities you require like Tommy Bahama body wash, shampoo, conditioner and lotion.

You have a private deck with a spa, bistro table, chairs, cushioned love seat, lighting, and a large fan for your comfort.

There is also a Weber gas grill by the pool for your use. A covered veranda at the rear of the pool is perfect for a game or lunch under the lighted fan.

Also handicapped accessible.

Housekeeping and groundsman/maintenance are on the property daily from 9 - 5pm daily and you receive daily maid service between 9-11 or 3-5. You have the use of the 2 washer/dryers after 5pm daily.

Center Street os a quiet vacation rental neighborhood. Bike/moped, golf cart rental at the corner, a 24 hour CVS and Subway are across Truman. At the entrance to Center Street is a wonderful Cuban restaurant with an exceptional breakfast menu and Cuban coffee.

Perfection

This was our second time to Key West, but our first time at Center Court. It will definitely not be our last! Location was perfect as we did not feel we needed a car, we were able to walk everywhere we wanted/needed to go. The property itself was amazing: so clean and well-maintained and had everything that we needed or could’ve asked for. Naomi was responsive and so accommodating. This property made our vacation perfect. Don’t hesitate to book!

Why they chose this property

Center Street is a quiet, 2 block long lane between Duval Street and Simonton Streets, just off Truman Ave. It is a quiet lane with vacation rentals, a moped/bike/golf cart rental at the entrance to our lane as well as a great Cuban restaurant. Across Truman is a 24 hour CVS. 1 block away from the Lighthouse and Hemingway House, 4 blocks to the Butterfly Conservatory, 5 blocks to the Atlantic Ocean and 8 blocks to Zero Duval.

What makes this property unique

My properties are all historic, from the 1880's in an area that was initially inhabited by Bahamian settlers. Truman Avenue was once the demarcation line dividing Key West from Monroe County. Superb location, close to everything you want to do and see but on a quiet 2 block lane so very quiet, yet around the corner from the fun of Duval Street. Romantic Retreat was built over the historic cistern.
