About the host
Hosted by Sarah

Hi! My name is Sarah, and I am from Pittsburgh, PA. I love cheering on our Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins, and I enjoy gardening, sports, and exploring the Steel City! I love being a host because I am always excited to share my favorite places with guests. Helping people to have an amazing trip and make incredible memories brings me so much joy. I hope that all of our guests love Pittsburgh as much I do.
Why they chose this property
I love Brighton Heights! It is a funny story how I found my house here. I lived in the Strip District, and I was searching for my first house. This wasn't an easy search. I described my dream house to a friend who told me that I wanted a country house in the City. Yes - that was precisely what I wanted! I was working with a realtor with endless patience as I searched. One weekend, I was looking for something to do, and I read about the Brighton Heights House and Chocolate Tour. You get to visit beautiful historic homes AND they give you chocolates? Yes, please! I signed up, and fell in love. I love living in the City of Pittsburgh, but I also love how my house feels like a peaceful home in the country. The waterfall and pond sounds, the birds, beautiful gardens, and tight-knit community were exactly what I was seeking. I can be anywhere in the City fast. I am 5 minutes away from the Steeler and Pirates Stadium, the Andy Warhol Museum, and the River's Casino. There are so many excellent restaurants nearby. It really was the best of all world's for me and my family. I hope that you enjoy historic Brighton Heights!
What makes this property unique
My property is unique because it is a blend of Craftsman, original historic details like original woodwork, stained glass, and modern updates in the kitchens, bathrooms, and decor. We have also added many unique features like the Koi pond, horseshoe waterfall, fire pits, hot tub, the internal jet tub, and the custom dog wash station in the laundry area. In the Summer, we have robust vegetable and herb gardens and encourage our guests to help themselves. We have really tried to think of everything that we can do to make our guests feel welcome and at home.
