This Vrbo home was in a beautiful location which allowed for a nice and relaxing stay. The home was very clean and decorated well to create a very home-like and comfy atmosphere. The host provided fishing tackle, paddle board and small boating options to utilize on the pond, firewood, and even s’more’s supplies for us to make over the fire. The host was extremely pleasant and I remained in contact with her consistently throughout the stay. Due to some complications with another Vrbo home I had booked beforehand which caused a last minute booking of this one, the host did everything she could to accommodate our original ruined trip plans and get the home ready for us as soon as possible to move in. This Vrbo home is by far the best one that we have stayed in, and the host was delightful and understanding to our situation throughout. I highly recommend booking this home for a nice and relaxing getaway. You can expect the best experience at the home and the greatest assistance from the host.
Soooo nice!!! Everything was perfect! Easy to get to and very quiet and peaceful. Furnishings were very comfortable and lots of little touches to make us feel right at home. Maryann was most helpful in getting us checked in and out and answered all our questions right away. Overall, a fantastic weekend!!! Thanks very much!!
well maintained clean gem of a property.I had the feeling of being in a tropical resort at night with the lighting around the beach, firepit and fountain in the pond, while in daytime transforming to a tranquil rustic paradise. amazingly well supplied with canoes, rods and lures for fishing., with bass lunkers waiting for the talented angler. The cottage is well appointed with many interesting civil war antiques. two comfortable beds with upgrade linens provided and the hottest showers you will ever encounter for your pleasure. All the modern amenities are available with extended TV cable service and Wifi. The host was most gracious in moving a family gathering so that we could stay there without altering our plans. Overall one the most pleasurable getaways I have ever experienced due the hospitality, thoughtfulnesss and attention provided by the hosts.
What a wonderful stay at a lovely house! My fiancé and I came in town to visit the Bowman distillery with his parents. It was our first time visiting the area. The land around the house was beautiful, peaceful and serene. There were several historic sites in the area to visit as well. Even though it is winter, there was an abundance of wildlife around. There was a porch and firepit area to sit and enjoy the views of the horseshoe pond. The house was well stocked. We took full advantage of the dual coffee pot and variety of selections offered. The fireplace was electric but still put off some nice heat as we enjoyed watching movies in the living area. The house is decorated with historic artifacts and was really fun for our family to checkout. They had lots of games and things for kids to do as well. I’d recommend going downtown to some of the restaurants as there are lots of options to choose from. Loved this house and will definitely be back!

Cindy, thank you so much for your kind comments about The Horseshoe Pond! We love it when guests enjoy the uniqueness of the cabin and feel peaceful and serene...even in the bleakness of winter. Right now the Canada geese are taking a break in the pond on their way back home. I never tire of watching the wildlife myself! Your comments made our day, and we look forward to hosting you again. And, you can be sure the coffee selections will always be full! Take care, MaryAnn
