A great place to stay close to navy base if your in town for graduation very nice neighborhood very quiet close to several shops and restaurants. The home is cozy and clean could not ask for anything else. Great host great stay!!!

The host was thoughtful and communicated well through our stay. The VRBO had lovely amenities including smart TV’s, secure keypad entries, white noise machines in the bedrooms, and a big kitchen with plenty of space. Would definitely stay here again.

Great Place!

Great place! Comfortable & clean and you can walk out the door straight into Libertyville which is a charming little town with great restaurants, shops, coffee, etc! Check out O'Tooles! It's also a great spot if you're visiting or doing a trade show in Chicago... It's about a 30 minute ride to downtown... just close enough while being out of the hustle and bustle. Highly recommend!

We came for our Sailor’s PIR, terrific location. Clean and roomy, plenty of coffee (for us). Host was extremely responsive. Extra bedroom for our Sailor to have a crash place after all the sleep deprivation of basic.

Perfect for RTC Graduation

Everything was well-equipped and just as the listing described. The host was friendly and responsive. The location is very close to the quaint downtown shops and an easy drive to and from Naval Station Great Lakes. There are large stores for groceries and other needs nearby.

Excellent stay for Navy Bootcamp graduation

We had an excellent stay, the Hosts were very responsive to all questions and checked on us that we had everything we needed. The property was clean, pest-free, and more spacious than we had even hoped, giving our group room to spread out and also big enough areas to share time together. The enclosed furnished patio was a plus! Highly recommend, we had two couples and our Sailor so the two King rooms and a Queen was perfect! With two full bathrooms and even a sleeper sofa and some trundles, this was a great value!

Awesome Stay for Navy Graduation

My family and I stayed here for 5 days. The place was clean and very comfortable. Great access to downtown and 2 minute drive to train station to take you into Chicago for the day. Very nice neighborhood. I would highly recommend staying here if you are visiting the area or need a place to stay to watch your loved one graduate from Great Lakes. It was a 10 minute drive to the base.

Awesome Property

This apt is perfect. Stayed for Navy graduation and it’s located 15mins from Base. You will be surprised as to how big and comfortable this place is. We did the “locals” thing and walked to the little town of Libertyville for the day. A few miles away is the more modern side of town. The apt was stocked with all we needed for our stay. Highly recommend this apt and management was awesome.

Thanksgiving Trip

While spacious and conveniently located, the property is on a very busy street close to a hospital with a lot of emergency vehicle traffic. The property was clean but in need of several minor repairs which were promptly addressed. Contact with the property manager was quick and easy.

Cozy and cute!

This property was perfect for our trip to Chicago. We attended for our sailors graduation and it was only 10-15 minutes from base. It was located right down the street from downtown libertyville and it was so charming! It was about an hour drive from downtown Chicago, but it wasn’t too bad and we didn’t mind. The host was very easy to get in contact with if there were any concerns which made everything smooth. Overall recommended!

Clean and spacious duplex

We came to Chicago to celebrate my graduation and wasn’t having any luck with hotels or rentals near the city. This location popped up on my search and it was well within our price range so I immediately booked it. It is almost an hour away from the city, but we did not mind the drive! Plus there are additional surrounding towns that are cute to visit! The host was extremely communicative during our entire stay. We had four adults in our party and lived comfortably! The place was also clean upon arrival.

Overall this was a pleasant place to stay, it was clean, cozy and the distance to the Navy Base was ideal. However I would like to share some recommendations- the kitchen is lacking some basic items, I had to got buy a pan and a flat griddle(which I left behind so you’re welcome) to be able to make breakfast since it was 6 of us. They provided limited trash bags for the kitchen, luckily we had some other bags from our shopping that we were able to use. Also the did not have a working iron or ironing board which caused a panic for me. Lastly though I appreciate that they want to make sure their towels clean, they over did it with the bleach to the point we had to buy detergent to wash them ourselves because it was so much it irritated my sons skin. However the communication was great the price was reasonable so if they addressed these things they would be excellent. I appreciate you allowing us the opportunity to stay here, thank you very much.

Impressive Stay

The rental was very clean and spacious. There are a couple of rollaway beds and a sofa bed for extra sleeping space if needed. We were surprised that the house was divided into upstairs and a downstairs apartments, but that wasn’t a problem for us, parking was a little tight also. We did have an F250 that BARELY fit between the house and fence (good thing my husband is a decent big truck driver) but it worked out. My only complaint is that the upper bathroom tub is unlevel and it was awkward to shower. The water pressure is not swell, but it’s good enough for such an old home. There is a great walking path right behind the house which was nice for our dog, he loved it. The little town square was very easy to access and quick to walk to. Very nice neighborhood (be warned: the fire station is very close so you’ll hear them quite a bit) again, not a deal breaker for us. I would stay again- and might since we’re headed that way for another Navy graduation in January. We were very pleased.
