The condo itself is great. It is well appointed and the location is fantastic. The experience staying there was not the best. At check in, the AC in the condo was off and it was 83 degrees inside. Had difficulty getting the AC on but it cooled down once it was on. Also had the water shut off not once, but twice. There is a leak detection valve that gets tripped for some reason. Was in the shower both times it happened. Had to get staff on site to help the first time. The second time I fixed it myself. Water getting shut off is not something any customer should experience.

Hello David, Again, apologize for the water shut off, the new valve is in a learning mode. My understanding is the issue was resolved. I had only been notified of one incident. As for the AC, as I noted when walking through it with you and your wife, the front door, lanai slides and windows must be fully closed before the AC turns on. You indicated the AC had immediately turned on once the front door had been shut. In my follow up with you the next day, you had indicated: "Yes it cooled down nicely. Can’t get the TV to work so any advice there would be appreciated. Otherwise, all is good. The unit is beautiful!" Our PM provided guidance on the TV in a timely manner. We appreciate the frustration that can arise due to unforeseen events and aim to address them as soon as identified.

Our family have explored many parts of the island and Makena is one of our favourite spots on the island. It is hard to find a property this close to the ocean with privacy, amazing views, and year round sunsets. The beach is secluded and beautiful, the snorkelling is amazing and turtles and whales are spotted often in the area.
