The Periwinkle Cottage was perfect for my stay while working in Fort Mill for the week. The kitchen was well stocked and the home was comfortable and decorated so nicely! Great location behind the park. The host, Bob, checked in and was very responsive.
Our family stayed here while our house was being renovated for a few days. Its adorable and well thought out. Beds are comfortable and it’s quiet and peaceful. Communication with the host was excellent. Highly recommend!
We absolutely loved the cottage, it was right next door to our daughters so it made things easier. We would absolutely recommend and hope we can rent next year
The place is great for a family of 4 or 5. You can tell it’s been renovated very recently and is done very well. We had some minor issues when we first arrived and the owner (Bob) and his property manager came right over and made everything right. Very short walk to a nice park and you are able to walk a little further into town to grab food and drinks. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.
The Periwinkle Cottage was a very inviting little oasis. The home was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Our family enjoyed our stay very much.
The owner, Bob, was amazing. He checked in with us prior to our trip, all through our trip, and then after we got home. He is the true definition of Southern Hospitality.
We highly recommend a stay here - you won't be disappointed.
There was construction right on the property & area that caused multiple surprise utility outages. There were no supplies to manage anything that occurred (including odors, electricity loss, or bad weather). The water went off without warning the first time & we couldn’t flush toilets, showers, wash dishes or even our hands but we were in the midst of some of that. Bob (host) said he spoke to the town and it was a fix two and on the third outage he said it was done. On the 4th outage, we called the town and they said it was a planned project (announced to owners well before our arrival date.) Finding out they should have known and didn’t prepare or even inform us is still a shock. The host had no sense of urgency and sent nothing to compensate for lack of full time running water, not even clean water. The house was ill equipped for any emergencies, including a snow storm and electrical outage. We had to spend time & money prepping day after day once the town finally told us to prep for the possibility of these & possible other unexpected disturbances every day because the utilities on this 1940’s infrastructure was not documented and they don’t know what they will run into. This was advertised & priced as a relaxing retreat, as a well thought out house for comfort. It was not. It was advertised as comfortable dining seating for 6, but it could not. It was advertised as a functioning kitchen, that is not possible without water & the threat that it could go any day.

Thank you for your feedback. We take guest experience seriously and want to provide accurate context for future travelers.
During this stay, there was municipal construction occurring in the area that resulted in occasional, temporary utility interruptions outside of our control. We remained in regular contact with the Town of Fort Mill throughout and relayed confirmed updates to the guest as they were received. The last known water-related work occurred on February 9, and no ongoing disruptions were scheduled afterward.
Whenever concerns were raised, we responded promptly and offered support. Replacement filters and requested items were ordered and delivered, and we repeatedly invited the guest to let us know specific needs so we could assist. Odor concerns were not communicated to us until late in the stay, and we addressed the filter request as soon as we were made aware.
The home was equipped as described in the listing, including kitchen tools and standard supplies. We also offered to bring any additional items needed, as guests do not have access to private storage areas for safety and property management reasons.
We regret that municipal work impacted the overall experience, as this was outside of our ability to control or predict. Our goal is always to provide a responsive and supportive stay, and we remained available throughout to address questions and provide assistance.
Our host Bob was welcoming and accessible throughout our stay. The location was close to town local stores, parks and main roads. House had nice amenities and we loved the uodated appliances, comfortable beds and roominess of kitchen and living room spaces. Also, the neighborhood was quiet and great for walking, the fenced in backyard was perfect for our small dog and firepit was a nice bonus. We'll definitely be back again!
