What a lovely place. Nestled in the forest this home has everything you need and even its own trails. The property is spacious for a family and there's a perfect deck for relaxing with a morning coffee or evening cocktail.
We love the countryside peace and quiet, however, if you're looking for city conveniences, Placerville has pretty much everything you need and is only 10 mins drive away.
Our host, Jason, was very gracious and went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. We have 2 large German Shepherds who come with us on all our road trips and they were made very welcome. There was plenty of space for them to run and play around outside.
We love hiking and there are also many trails around the area that are suitable for dogs.
I'm a property manager and have far too many experiences of things that always go wrong at the worst possible time. Unfortunately it happened to Jason; a broken aircon unit in 4th July week during the worst heatwave in years. Yet somehow he managed to get a repair guy in and find a temporary unit in a few hours. That was no easy challenge and we were extremely grateful for Jason's quick action.
We had a wonderful week and hope to go back again soon. I fully recommend this lovely home to anyone, I'm sure you'd love it as much as we did.
I stayed here while in trial in Placerville and it was the perfect home away from home. The area was quiet, and I even had a beautiful buck in my front yard when I arrived. Jason was an incredible host; easy to communicate with and very accommodating. Though the location is a little remote, that's what makes it charming and allows for wonderful wildlife encounters like wild turkeys and even a skunk family. I will definitely stay here again if I have to be back in trial in Placerville!
