Why they chose this property

We stumbled upon this point of land overlooking one of Costa Rica's best surf breaks and decided to build a family beach house on that very spot. The ocean views are 200 degrees, the surf pounding on volcanic shores, a short walk to great swimming, surfing in 85-degree water, endless sunshine, fish jumping, pelicans, shorebirds, mermaid pools, whale-watching, lush landscapes abound.

What makes this property unique

Off-the-beaten path solemnity of rural Costa Rica; the beauty and power of the ocean, the lushness of the tropical lowland landscape, the dynamic ebb and flow of the Playa Negra beach, the volcanic land, the generous and warm and lively spirit of the Costa Rican people, the dozens of different surf breaks within a walk or a drive, the fish, the food, the yoga, the beer, and a great group of neighbors, locals, ex-pats, and others.
