I was disappointed with both Bluewater Vacation Rentals and our rental experience.While the listing stated that pool passes had to be picked up at the office, it did not mention they also had to be returned there before departure, requiring an extra trip that should have been disclosed.The automatic-locking door was another issue. We were not adequately informed about this feature and nearly locked ourselves out. When I checked out and relayed this information, the front desk employee told me to "make a song" to remember the code. I found that response dismissive and unprofessional rather than helpful.The rental also did not match the listing photos, which appear to be outdated. The amount of clutter was excessive, leaving almost no usable counter or surface space. In such a small unit, there was very little room for our belongings, especially in the kitchen.The lighting throughout the rental was poor, with several fixtures flickering throughout our stay. Although we reported the problem, it was never resolved. Combined with the other issues, we decided to check out early.Overall, the property and customer service did not meet our expectations. Better communication, updated listing photos, improved maintenance, and a more guest-focused approach would greatly improve the experience for future renters.
