Timber framed barn home nestled in 23 acres of forest just minutes south of Kansas City. Beautiful 3 acre lake, walking trails, 3 large flat screen TV's, full kitchen, and much more. Perfect for an easy get away, or business traveler. Completely open floor plan, kitchen, 3 large flat screen TV's with Apple TV, Starlink Internet/Wifi, one full large bathroom, one 1/2 bathroom, Pool Table, Ping Pong, 3 acre lake, canoes, walking trails, trampolines, multiple outdoor patios. Upstairs in the barn includes a large bedroom/living area that includes 3 bunk beds, one queen bed, two single beds, and couches (8-10 available for sleeping). Additionally, we have an unattached cottage with two double beds upstairs, and a pull out bed downstairs (6 available sleeping). The property is secluded, peaceful and quiet.

Plenty of equipment in the kitchen for preparing meals. Large open spaces and beautiful grounds. The beds are all in one space which we didn't realize ahead of time. It worked ok since we are family, but would have been awkward otherwise.

A gem in Louisburg, KS

Our family had a wonderful stay at the most beautiful barn I’ve seen! The accommodations were fantastic and quaint, and we truly enjoyed nature and some quiet time with our family. But, I don’t think our dog has ever been so tired!! She constantly was outside or looking outside, ready to explore. Such a gem being so close to Overland Park!

The perfect spot for a getaway

Michael and Sara have created a special place in the barn. The communal spaces were huge, inviting, and full of touches to make our stay fun and memorable. The weather was quite warm while we were there (that’s Kansas in July for you!) and though the size of the place is massive, the AC unit(s) cooled it in no time flat. It was very comfortable inside and ideal for getting out of the heat for stretches. The kitchen was well supplied and we loved how open it was so that we could talk and have a drink while I cooked meals. There were grills just outside the patio door, which were super convenient to use. The sleeping area in the loft was spacious and had more accommodations than our group of 4 needed. But I would imagine even 10 would be perfectly cozy there. The bathrooms were beautiful and clean with excellent working shower and large tub. As incredible as the indoor spaces were, the outdoor areas may have eclipsed them. The land was gorgeous, full of trees, and around every corner another space to explore, play games, or relax in. Due to the heat, we didn’t walk the trails as much as we would have liked to but they’re everywhere. There were multiple fire pits and we longed for a cool evening where we would have started a fire and made s’mores… next time! The private lake was beautiful and sported a dock replete with canoe and chairs where we fished and caught a few large bass. Can’t recommend this place enough. It feels like an honor to be able to stay there.
