The Cactus House: A Boho Western Single Family Home Just South of Downtown DSM

Welcome to The Cactus House, a boho-western single-family home just south of downtown. Each bedroom has a memory foam bed, duvet/covers, multiple pillow options. Work-from-home space in bedroom 1 and private in-home laundry room. Huge backyard off the large back deck. Single car garage and long driveway. Residential side street off SW 9th for easy access to downtown Des Moines, the zoo, the airport, and other local attractions.

We have tried to think of everything you could need while staying at our place! We are frequently short-term rental travelers ourselves and have included all of the best details from our years of traveling and years of hosting others!

Bedrooms with large closets to hold enough for those who overpack the most! Luggage carriers as well to hold your bags. 12-inch Memory Foam mattresses with 3-inch memory foam toppers and blackout curtains in rooms for a comfortable stay. Duvet covers, extra pillows and blankets will make for a great night's sleep!

Updated full bath with travel toiletries and other extras in case you forgot yours!

The kitchen has all of the basics for a quick stay or a long-term stay! Coffee (both decaf and regular) and tea are provided with cream and sugar to start your days off right! We include things others may overlook like a toaster, crockpot, lots of cooking utensils, a tea kettle, hand mixer, seasonings, a blender, and so much more!

You have complete access to the entire home, garage, and backyard. The backyard space is the length of two lots and is all part of the house.

The driveway is quite long and could accommodate multiple vehicles. You may also park on the street in front of the property, but please follow all city parking rules.

Both the front and back doors have smart keypads on them for which codes will be provided.
