Amazing stay!

We had an amazing time in Shinnecock Hills! The house was beautiful, exactly as pictured and offered plenty of space for our trip with extended family. Most important was the location. So much to do—whether it was trips to the beach and exploring the area or fishing and kayaking from the private dock, swimming and just enjoying the property. Great rental and we will be back!

Excellent place for a large family vacation

We've been going to Hamptons for several years, and this is the best house we've rented yet. There's ample space, and the large and numerous bathrooms were very much appreciated. The location right on the bay had us going out to the water every day, even the days when we didn't drive to the nearby ocean beach. Peter is an excellent communicator, and that made for a very smooth week. Highly recommend.

This house is by far our favorite rental. It's the perfect size for an extended family of 12. The kitchen was a good size as were the bedrooms. The view was amazing and all the kids loved the pool. It was also convenient to Coopers beach which is gorgeous. We had a wonderful time and would rent it again.

I have been to Southampton every year but two since 1938, including staying with my grandfather, parents, and my own house on First Neck Lane which I had to sell in order to buy a house in California, my current address. For the last 25 years I have rented, and this property is by far the best, and most reasonable. The rooms are large, the view is great, and the location just right for my needs. The only deterrent was the early morning trade parade from which there is no escape except to stay home.

Wonderful Vacation House

The house was just as described, big, beautiful with lots of activities in the game room and a wonderful heated pool. The water view was also great. The house was clean, the bedrooms were large and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils, cleaning supplies, and pots and pans. There were even 3 different types of coffee pots which we all appreciated. A wonderful time was had by all…

3 adults, 3 kids 11 and under, 2 dogs. Thunder storms rolled over…the pool…trips off over the small bay on the kayak to the sandbar with the kids and dog to collect shells and stones and glass and walk…the pool, sun…bbq fish and burgers…the pool, great game room….the pool. The house is large and kind of elegant without being precious. Ben was attentive and very responsive to what few/couple issues we had. Adults could find space to focus on work if needed away from kids etc. Southampton and amenities within 15 minutes. The ocean beach close…We had a great hassle-ess two weeks and couldn’t be happier. Thanks so much.

Overall a great rental!

The location was excellent, overlooking the water and wetlands. The interior was very well decorated and comfortable for all 11 of us. Having 5 bedrooms and bathrooms and family room downstairs with sliders to the lower deck and private pool was great! The second floor had a spacious well-designed kitchen opening to a large dining room opening to the second floor deck with gorgeous views. The large master bedroom and large bathroom off the upstairs living room worked well. The owners responded quickly to issues which came up. The downsides were limited outdoor seating and the available seating had little shade. There was no fire pit for family gatherings on a cool night. Many of the screens had holes which were patched. Overall though it was a very good rental and our family had a wonderful time!

Great place to have family reunion.

Very comfortable, nicely decorated and responsive hosts. Every bedroom had a separate bath which worked well for our family of grown children. The only negative we had was the online listing did not state that the pool had been closed for the season. I am sure this was just an oversight as we booked at the last minute late in September. We would definitely book this beautiful home again.

Perfect Getaway for 40th Birthday Celebration

My friends and I were looking for a special way to celebrate our 40th birthdays and really hit the jackpot with this property! It’s a huge house with a good setup. The pool, kitchen, dinning room and sitting rooms were fantastic areas to spend time together as a group. We also all had our own rooms and bathrooms, which gave us privacy and alone time when we wanted it. There is also a two person kayak that we loved taking out and the dock is nice for fishing and crabbing (the house even had traps to use). The location is also really good, not far from beaches and town. Tate’s Bakery is very close by - YUM! Bonnie was a fantastic host and super responsive with any questions we had. Highly recommend this house!

Amazing property with a stunning view!

I would recommend this property as it has stunning views and all the bedrooms come with bathrooms attached which is a big plus. Pool water was heated and all amenities were fantastic. Pool table in basement is in good shape and we also utilized the bikes from garage. I would come back again.

Beyond Spectacular

After vacationing on Cape Cod for the past 10 years, we were ready to try something more local to our Nassau County home. And this property exceeded our expectations! The house was more than spacious enough for our family of 6 adults and 4 children. All the rooms are beautifully furnished and the beds are extremely comfortable. The huge and gorgeous kitchen was fully stocked with everything we could possibly want. We enjoyed swimming in the pool that has a lovely view of the pond and loved barbecuing dinners on the upper deck. Actually, we were content having almost all of our meals in, having little desire to eat out. Our favorite take out was lobster rolls from Shinnecock Lobster Factory right down the road! Coopers Beach, where we spent several evenings after 5:00 when parking is free, is very close by. We also enjoyed exploring at the Elizabeth Morton Preserve in Sag Harbor. Peter, the owner, was always immediately available should we have any questions. This was definitely a special vacation. We were sad to see it end...perhaps a repeat performance is in the cards for next summer!!!

Amazing... amazing....amazing

We took a family vacation with our grown children and their families who are scattered around the country. We barely left the property because it had everything we needed. When we ventured to the beach we stayed away from the more popular beaches and enjoyed Halsey Neck Beach instead. Having the Far Pond water as a view all week along with a nice pool and sizable living space was all we needed to have a great week. Having a bathroom for each bedroom was such a plus. I highly recommend this property for so many reasons but here are a few: 1. Location, location, location! 2. Private setting. 3. Great amenities for cooking, feeding a large crowd we never ran out of dishes. 4. Peter was easy to contact. 5. Large and spacious house and yard. 6. The view!

Family vacation

We had such an awesome time renting this house. The house is everything it said on the website, Magnificent! The bedrooms were decorated beautifully, the beds were super comfortable and the best part was everyone had their own bathroom. The kitchen was very spacious and nice and equipped with everything you would need. We ordered dinner a few times and the surrounding restaurants were delicious. We enjoyed the living room, renting movies and lighting the fireplace, all so relaxing. The gym was great and the guys really loved playing pool. We took many walks ,with our dogs, around the neighborhood looking at all the beautiful houses and sites and had fun using the heated pool. Overall, it was a great family -togetherness vacation!

Exceptional View, Well Appointed Kitchen and House, Beautiful Home.

Our recent 3 week stay here was delightful, the sweeping view is charming. Photos/video do not do the upstairs justice - kitchen, dining room, living room are larger than expected. Perfectly designed living area for entertaining. The kitchen is well supplied with both indoor and outdoor dinnerware. Outdoor seating is abundant - 2 tables/chairs/umbrellas and additional seating on 2nd floor deck, many Adirondack & rocking chairs on 1st floor deck, poolside lounge chairs as well as table/umbrella seating area. Surprising lack of mosquitoes. Pool table and exercise equipment in the finished basement were greatly appreciated. About 4 miles to Cooper's Beach and many other Southampton Village beaches. We brought our bicycles, but there are 3 functional bikes there. About 3.5 miles to downtown Southampton Village restaurants, breakfast, & shopping. 55 minutes to Bethpage Black Course, but worth the drive.

A great two week break

My family and I have just returned to the UK after a great stay at this fantastic Southampton House. The property was as described, and Peter was very helpful and responsive both during the booking process and while we were at the house. The house is ideal for a large group (we were only four but there is more than enough space for 12), the games room, the pool and the wide selection of places to sit outside were clear winners for us. The most popular place for eating was sitting on the balcony with a lovely view of the bay and right next to the great BBQ - many perfect evenings. We spent time on the local beaches, exploring Southampton, East Hampton and Montauk as well as trips to the wineries on the North fork. We also rented a boat for the day from Hampton Bays to explore from the water - great fun! The best restaurant we found (when I could be dragged away from the BBQ) was CowFish only a few mins drive away. If you want a water view, with plenty to keep you occupied, in a spacious well maintained house - then this is the place. Thank you Peter!

The perfect Christmas holiday place for our family

Our family of 10 people spent some wonderful days in this house. A spacious living and dining room, a big well appointed kitchen and very comfortable sleeping rooms. We spent our Christmas holidays here. The house was beautifully decorated and we enjoyed the lovely view of the bay. When we arrived, we were welcomed by 4 deer just crossing the drive way and into the woods. The fireplace and the candles added to the perfect winter holiday feeling. Just a few minutes away from the lovely village of Southampton, and 1,5 hours away from JFK. The perfect holiday place for our family! The house is what we have hoped for and what we got! Fantastic!

We just got home from a beautiful week in Southampton. I celebrated my 80th birthday with my family, 11 of us.. I wanted my 4 grandkids to see where their parents grew up on Shinnecock Bay, We stayed for 2 weeks at a cottage on Far Pond Road for 20 years, The "Dream Home" was a far cry from that cottage! Our 4 teenage grandkids enjoyed the pool, game room, weight room & especially the kayak. So comfortable for 7 adults & 4 kids. Dining room table seated us in fine style. Bedrooms were great for everyone for privacy. Of course, my husband & I had the master suite on the 2nd floor with the beautiful bathroom. We had a chance to visit old friends for a bonfire & s'mores & wine out at the Inlet on Dune Road, out to dinner, went to the beach, & out to Montauk for lunch at Gosman;s Dock. The house is beautifully decorated & has everything needed to have a carefree & wonderful vacation. Peter was available at all times & I felt he really cared that our family had a comfortable & memorable time... and we did!

We are a family local to New York and a short drive from Southampton. We fell in love with the serene surroundings and various activities available at this house. Although we furnished and care for this property as if we were to live there, as a family full of professionals we rarely can spend as much time as we'd like to here.

Since we live nearby, we are available on short notice and have local maintenance and help unhand to assist with anything you might need. We love renting to travelers and families who can enjoy and love the house as we do!

Why they chose this property

This property is nestled south of the highway close to the village but is exclusive and private enough with great waterfront views and access to the bay. The property is easy to access right before the notorious Hamptons traffic, is located very close to Coopers Beach and world class golf courses, and is extremely convenient as it provides easy access to the Village and other towns in the east end of the Long Island.
