We throughly enjoyed our stay. We were up in Los Alamos for a wedding and this place was the perfect location. We walked to all the events in town. The place was very clean, well stocked and very quiet. I wouldn’t hesitate booking this place again.

The property itself is beautiful. It is newly renovated and very spacious and clean. However, in this area in general, there isn’t much to do and there are very limited places to eat. So it is best to bring your own food or be prepared to leave the area to eat or do things.
Los Alamos Mercantile building is right on the Main Street of the most charming, hipster, beautiful, antique-y, winery, farm and foodie town - easy walk to everything. The unit was super clean, comfortable, nicely styled and felt new. Highly recommend for a perfect Santa Ynez destination trip.
The pictures were exactly as it showed on VRBO. The location was excellent. The place was very clean and had everything that we needed. My only complaint is that the mattresses were very hard and I think with a pillow topper on the beds it would make a huge difference. Also, there were no discharge instructions on what to do when leaving the apartment. The host was very responsive and was quick to get back to me when I had a question.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Butch Cassidy in the Los Alamos Mercantile Building. This is a newer building and it is obvious that much care was put into the functional and aesthetic details of this apartment - it had great lighting, large showers, and closets with plenty of room for luggage and more. Everything went smoothly from start to finish: before our stay, the hosts responded to our questions expediently; check in and out was simple; parking spots were well-marked; the apartment was spotlessly clean, quiet and comfortable; restaurants, wine/beer tasting and shopping are within walking distance. The layout was perfect for 2 couples. A great experience - I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!
(Okay, maybe 4.8 — but only because I aged five years waiting for the check-in info )My friend and I stayed in this adorable 2-bedroom spot and were blown away by how clean it was. Like, “let’s-look-under-the-bed-and-in-the-corners-just-to-see” clean — and yep, spotless. You could probably eat off the floor (but don’t, because the kitchen is so well stocked you won’t need to).Speaking of the kitchen — they had just about everything you could dream up… except coffee and Kleenex. So BYOC (bring your own caffeine) and maybe a tissue or two for those early mornings before caffeine hits. The location is perfect — you can walk everywhere in town, which isn’t saying too much since town is basically one cute street, but it’s still nice to feel like everything’s right there. The only thing that made my eye twitch a little was the check-in communication. The instructions showed up about three hours before arrival — after a follow-up message. A little too close for comfort for my Type A vacation planning heart.Other than that tiny anxiety spike, it was an awesome stay — clean, comfy, convenient, and would absolutely stay again (maybe just with an earlier email next time ).
