Great space. Good, not best, midtown location. But the space inside is good. It’s a bit rough around the edges. Could use a deep clean and some repairs. Not a top notch VRBO but adequate if you’re not too particular. Would rent again by virtue of it’s location in the city and its space. We don’t mind picking up a few necessities like shower gel, kitchen sponges and paper towels that the unit lacked. Would be nice though if they fixed the entry door handle that continuously fell out of the door potentially leaving us trapped inside. Just a suggestion to the owner.

The place was nicely decorated but a little TLC was needed. Door knob falling off front door, no shades on sky light over sofa, no dryer, one dish towel, no body wash, dirty counter where coffee cups were located, dusty dirty under recliner, just a few paper towels on roll, no extra garbage bags, way too heavy of comforter on beds, no landscaping. Parking was great but very trashy.

The inside of this home loft is beautiful. The rooms were spacious, the living room was inviting, and the beds were comfortable with clean linens. The location was excellent with easy access to the Capitol and Old Sacramento. The exterior of the property could use more attention, as some landscaping and weed maintenance would improve the first impression. As we settled in, we noticed a few housekeeping issues. There were spider webs above the stove and near the cooking utensils, along with noticeable dust under the beds. We also arrived to very few paper towels left on the roll. I contacted Michael, who said he would bring more the next day, but they did not arrive in time for breakfast when we needed them. The kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, plates, and cups, but there were no basic cooking essentials like spices or condiments, so be prepared to bring your own.Communication from the host could have been quicker regarding requests during our stay. Overall, the home was comfortable and conveniently located, but more attention to cleanliness, supplies, and responsiveness would improve the experience.

Cute cozy rental in Midtown with easy access to everything down there. Bed was incredibly comfortable. Even though it's the upstairs to the house, it feels very private. Highly recommend.

This loft/apartment is a lovely vacation rental. We didn't use much of the kitchen but it seemed to be well stocked for most cooking and dining needs. EXTREMELY clean- probably one of the best I've ever experienced in a rental. The neighborhood seemed clean and safe. The TV was difficult to figure out (no instructions available in the rental and didn't want to bother owner about it, but it also wasn't a huge deal to us) to the point that we could not use it our second night. Both mattresses are extremely comfortable. Be aware- the front/smaller bedroom gets a lot of traffic noise as the transom window faces a busy street. Had to use a loud white noise maker I travel with to help drown it out, but could still hear motorcycles/loud bass at times. And there is no fan for the guest bedroom, which would be a nice addition. The air conditioning seemed to function well. Was also nice to have two secure, tandem parking spaces as the parking in the neighborhood is difficult to find, and most streets require permits outside of a strict window of time. Definitely a well appointed, extremely clean, well stocked and wonderfully-located rental for many of Sacramento's sights and points of interest. Highly recommend!

The space had a bunch of beds and spots to sleep. The kitchen and such was well stocked, we liked the bathroom as well, with both a bath and shower. The host was prompt with information and communications. The A/C was good overall, though it is winter as of writing. Good convenient space in Sacramento.

Adorable craftsman apartment with a great layout. We loved how the bedrooms are on opposite sides of the unit — it worked perfectly for our group, especially with a 22-month-old and a few snorers. The AC worked without any issues, which we were especially thankful for with 102-degree weather. There’s a Keurig coffee maker available, but we opted to buy a pour-over from the nearby Co-op (about a 15-minute walk). Street parking has time limits, so we really appreciated having access to the gated parking space behind the house. You can hear the train crossing bells at night, which I personally found soothing. The only suggestion we’d make is to consider adding a gate or barrier at the stairway for families with small children.Overall, we had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend it!

Such a charming space, well laid out, with everything we needed. We rented for 3 weeks while my daughter attended a class in Sacramento. I was worried about the summer heat on an upper floor unit, but the AC worked well and kept us comfortable. It's really a great space that felt open and spacious, while being cozy at the same time. I had never spent time in Sacramento and found it very walkable from this location. I would rent this space again.

Architecturally & design wise I loved it!I felt like I was in a beautiful modern tree house. These notes may help:It’s a grey house on the corner of Q & 25th,front faces Q St & the BnB entrance & lockbox is on the left side.Parking is on 25th behind the house & the chain link fence must be opened with a key they provide. There is a damaged step on the outside stairs beware.Property has STRONG smell when you walk in,but I became nose blind to it inside. We arrived after 3pm & the A/C was definitely NOT turned on yet,it was well in the 90’s.They have a helpful guidebook,I didn’t open it until day 3 of my 4 night stay.It states “we operate under peak usage rates between 4-8pm conserving energy during these hours to keep our prices low” which I took as them asking the A/C not be used during those times. It didn’t affect my comfort as I was off property, just something to be aware of.Inside, the stairs are steeper than regular,if you have a little one under 4 or 5 they could be worrisome as the top can't really be blocked off.The in-unit laundry was unavailable, blocked by a duct taped sheet.I peeked & it looked like they were trying to contain a fly issue with a mild dew/sewage smell.Older homes have smells that come with character.I cooked daily & found the kitchen sufficient.I saw rodent traps in a storage nook but no rodents. My kids found droppings in a tiny attic door when exploring, possibly old.Host responded slowly when I asked about parking clarification & I got a 62 ticket.

Fine but HOT

Location was great in midtown. Some issues we had: no coffee or tea, dirty floor under chairs, and big issue with the air conditioning. We were only allowed to "temporarily" adjust the thermostat but of course we didn't figure that out until it was over 80 degrees in the loft and after a very hot night. We were very confused at first, sure we had turned on the air conditioning...I think we should have be given a heads up that the thermostat would turn off automatically after X amount of hours. This weekend was HOT, in the 90s. The loft has really pretty skylight windows, but that just makes it even hotter! Also, the thermostat was not set before we came, so when we came into the loft, it was 83 degrees and very stuffy inside. The smaller bedroom and living room could use some fans. What I think was the laundry room (?) was locked, so we never saw the W/D. There was a used dirty dusty water bottle under a chair that needed to be seriously cleaned under. All the hand soaps were close to empty. Small issues that made our short trip uncomfortable but not terrible. Very simple, no bells or whistles, but had the bare essentials. Comfortable bed and pillows. We were allowed early check-in too which was very nice. The place was fine once it cooled down. Could use a better cleaner and a little more thoughtfulness like including board games, books for kids, and coffee. But mostly I think if we had just had a heads up about the air conditioning, I think we would have been happier!
