We had the best time at Caddis Shack! The cabin was tastefully decorated and had all the amenities you could ask for while staying in the woods. The property was picturesque and so relaxing! We will definitely be back!
We really enjoyed our stay at Caddis Shack. It was clean, nicely decorated, and had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. We especially appreciated the firm mattress and pillows, nightlights, quality toilet paper and paper towels and soaps. W loved g the screened porch and deck overlooking the river. It was so peaceful and quiet—exactly what we were looking for! We had a wonderful Thanksgiving recharging our batteries! Thanks for a wonderful place to stay and create new memories!
The cabin is cozy, has everything you need, and has a wonderful aesthetic and view. Time by the water on the dock was serene put me in my happy place. Host is so responsive and helpful.

Glad you all had a nice time but bummer about the river. All this rain has really made fishing a challenge. Appreciate you staying with us and look forward to having you back again!
Everything was as promised. Property was cute and quaint, and we had everything we needed and then some! I would definitely recommend this cabin for a get-away of any kind!!
Very clean property. Every thing you need for a comfortable stay. Nice screened in porch for rainy days and nice outdoor porch to enjoy the river view.
We had a nice relaxing three days. We ventured out a couple of times but always wanted to get back to the cabin and the gorgeous fire pit next to the river! We will be back!
The cabin was quaint and perfect for what we wanted. Secluded enough so we were not on top of any others. Listening to the river outside and even some rain on the roof was perfect for napping and relaxing from the everyday chaos. I was able to wade in the river and fly fish a few times but the generation from the damn did limit the effectiveness. Even still being able to cast the fly rod was enjoyable. David was excellent in offering options for additional fishing location and guides. Even the float guides that came by on the river offered additional suggestions. Plain ahead to reserve an experienced guide. The cabin was well furnished and had everything that we needed from being able to grill and cook anything that was on the menu.We will keep this on our favorites list to come back again.
Caddis Shack ReviewArea: We loved McCaysville, GA and Copperhill, TN; these are beautiful twin cities! We ate at The Waterfront Bar and Grill. It was delicious! Most shops are closed Tuesday and Wednesday.Location: The cabin is secluded. It is down a single lane dirt road with potholes from the rain. We were thankful for our 4WD.Cell Service: ATT worked at the cabin. T-Mobile did not. WIFI worked well with our on logins for Netflix, etc.Access: Entry into house and passwords were easy to access.Bed: Adequate but not as comfortable as I had hoped. Queen seemed smaller than my queen at home.Kitchen: Had everything I needed microwave/oven combo. No dishwasher. We grilled out one night. There were spices in the cabinets. Coffee was provided. Amenities: Screened porch was excellent! Had a great time fishing! Overall: I would give the cabin a rating of 9 out of 10. It was peaceful and provided a much needed slower pace. I wish the mattress had been more comfortable. The scenery was absolutely beautiful with lots of wildlife. We saw deer, ducks, geese, squirrels, birds, cranes, and a fox.
