When they say this place is right on the river, its the truth! Perfect river access for the kids to go out and play, and relaxing porch sitting for the adults! The fully equipped kitchen was perfect for all of our cooking needs during our 4th of July trip and we couldnt beat the location as its close to family! We will definitely be staying here again!
Setting was lovely, home was clean and stocked w all the necessary small appliances, towels and sheets. Comfortable beds, nicely furnished. The only negative was, its not a true 3 bedroom. The third bedroom is a loft w bunk bed set and a separate twin bed. We also thought it had a firepit, but there wasnt one. Overall we did enjoy our stay very much
We enjoyed our stay at the Rusty Nut. It was a very quiet area. We enjoyed being right on the Toccoa River to enjoy fly fishing and tubing. Tubes were at the cabin to use. The house was clean and inviting. The cabin conveniently located between Blue Ridge and McCaysville.
We loved our stay in the Rusty Nut. It is a great location to explore the surrounding areas and the river view and access in the backyard is second to none. We can’t wait to come back.
My husband and I spent 3 nights here while we explored several mountain bike trails in the GA and TN areas. The house was clean and very comfortable. The view of the Toccoa River was beautiful and peaceful. The location was convenient to Blue Ridge and our other destinations. We would stay there again!
Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The cabin, property and river are very beautiful and peaceful. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your little slice of heaven in Blue Ridge!

This cabin was very pretty, and just about everything that we needed (and more) was furnished. The Toccoa River is just a few steps from the back porch, and we fished there every day – and we did catch several fish even though they had not stocked the river since before Labor Day. The location is great with plenty of easy parking, and it is not very far from downtown Blue Ridge where you will find good eating and shopping. We did have a problem, though, that greatly affected our trip. We had a group of family members (some older and some younger) totaling 6 people, and we needed 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. This cabin only has 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths and a half bath. The bunkbed and twin bed are in a loft area and you have to pass through the loft to get to the second bedroom which is on the top floor. Also there is a place for a rod in the closet upstairs, but there is no rod to hang your clothes on, and there are no hooks or rods in the upstairs bathroom for hanging towels or clothes. These issues would not affect some groups and this cabin would be great for them, but if we had known about the loft area, we would have found another cabin that would have met our needs better.
The Cabin and location was great. When we arrived to check in at 3:00,the cleaning lady was just getting there. So, I felt she was rushed and didn't clean very well.
Wonderful luxury cabin right on river. Cabin was furnished with all necessities and then some. Easy communication with host...Would deffinitely recommend and look forward to staying there again soon.
The property was what we were expecting. The pictures and description are accurate. Beautiful property on the river. New, neat, and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Will be back again.

Family gathering Celebrating a 60th Birthday
I was overall very happy with the property. However, it was very difficult to get to our clothes. There is no way to hang clothes. The closets have no hanging bars making it very difficult to keep clothes neat. Also the home seemed clean until we looked closer. Please let your cleaning staff know that cobwebs and dust is on all surfaces not just the obvious. There are many great things at the house such as lots of games, outdoor grill, and a well equiped kitchen. Thank you and should we vacation in Blue Ridge again we will rent here again.

Thanksgiving 2024
Neighborhood dog bit my son while out for a jog. Home is in dire need of deep cleaning and owner does not put personal items away: laundry in the dryer. Handwritten notes on walls of vrbo reminding of basic rules is not what expected at all either. Will not return.
We loved our stay at The Rusty Nut! The house was very well stocked, the owners were very helpful, the location was perfect! I will tell you that we were a little skeptical about booking due to the lack of pictures and description..DON’T BE! The pictures and description do NOT do this place justice! It was nice that they have local garbage pick up on Monday but we really could have used a 2nd garbage can as we ate all of our meals for the week at the house. We just ended up taking most of our trash to the local transfer station. Fishing & Tubing was what we did all week. We brought our own tubes (but the owner does have some there to use) and just put in up the road at the Curtis Switch takeout. The boys did a guided trip with Cohutta Fishing Company out of Blue Ridge (this was great) and they did golf at Old Toccoa Farm, they said this was an amazing course. The roads there and the driveway were both very easy access. We definitely hope to be back again!

The place was beautiful! The yard was delightful! The rat and rat traps and poop were unnecessary
