About this property
Cozy chalet near lakes and mountains. Pet friendly!
Welcome! This cozy little chalet boasts beautiful pine walls, moody decor, a warm wood stove, and is well-stocked with everything you need for an enjoyable stay! This is a beautiful, rural area of Western Maine with easy access to many local attractions for nature lovers and outdoor-minded people. We are close to ski areas (Pleasant Mountain, Sunday River, and Mt Abram), hiking trails, Kezar Lake (with beach access as well as boat rental), the White Mountains, snow mobile trails, and adorable towns to explore! You will have the entire cabin on 2 acres to yourself.
The chalet can sleep 6 people (primary bedroom on the loft- queen; 2nd bedroom- double/ full; third bedroom- twin bunk beds). All bedding provided.
Kitchen: We have an electric range, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, and food processor. The cabin is complete with dishes, glassware, utensils, and cookware. There is an island for prep and a small table that formally seats 2.
Living Room: Comfy leather couch, faux fur rocking chair, and a great club chair with ottoman. Smart TV with access to Netflix, Max, and other streaming options. Wood burning stove and you are welcome to use our seasoned firewood. Wifi access.
Bathroom: Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair dyer included. We also have one towel per guest!
Loft: a small couch serves as a sweet little reading nook. The railings are up to code but I would advise keeping children away from the loft.
We have a plow service that manages the driveway after snows. Use caution, it is often slippery throughout the winter.
Wifi access!
Dogs allowed with a small fee!
Parking on property available.
*The Local Area* and approximate drive times:

- Sunday River ~ 40 minutes
- Bethel~ 35 minutes
- Bridgton~ 20 minutes
- Mt Abram Ski Area is ~ 25 miles
- Public boat launch at North Lovell Landing Road- 13 minutes
- Boat rental at Kezar Lake Marina~ 2 minutes
- Pleasant Point Town Beach is beautiful~7 minutes
Important Things To Note:
This is a RURAL cabin. While we are stocked with wifi and other modern conveniences, there are still important things to note about the requirements of this space. Please read carefully to ensure that this is a good fit for you.
1) We request that our guests are 25 or over.
2) LOFT: Loft has railings to code, but use caution!
3) HEATING (winter): We have wood fire heat, a pellet stove, and electric baseboards. We kindly ask that you work with us to use the most efficient source to make your stay comfortable. Please use the pellet stove (in addition to the electric baseboard heaters). This is by far the greenest option. The stove requires that you are able to lift a bag of pellets (about 30 pounds) and dump it into the stove. You will need to add a new bag of pellets daily. We have full details about how to do this in the house manual (and we are available for any questions), but if this sounds too intimidating for you, then this cabin may not be the best fit for you!
4) COOLING (summer): As is common in many homes in Maine, this cabin does NOT have central air conditioning. The weather in Maine rarely requires it, and we do have fans you can move throughout the rooms to stay comfortable. In the unlikely event opening windows/ using fans doesn't cut it, there is a small AC unit in the kitchen than can be used sparingly; it will NOT reach the bedrooms. Please do not leave this on overnight; is incredibly inefficient and will not make a difference in the bedrooms.
5) WEATHER CONDITIONS (winter): We have a plow/ shovel service that comes during storms, but the winter in Maine brings a lot of snow and ice regularly. We provide additional sand and salt on the porch as needed. Use caution as you go up and down the stairs. Avoid the back porch stairs during the winter. Be mindful of falling snow around the sides of the house; dogs and adventurous children should have an adult nearby.
Updated recently-- We do have an automatic generator!!!! In the event of a power outage, the lights and heat will keep on chugging!
