🪵 Disclaimer: Rural Cabin Stay – Please Read 🌲 By proceeding with this reservation, you acknowledge and understand that you are renting a cabin located in the rural woods of Northern Maine. While we strive to provide a clean, comfortable, and well-maintained environment, there are natural elements that come with the setting: 🐭 Mice Activity: Mice may be present year-round due to the surrounding wilderness, with increased activity during the cooler months (fall and winter) as they seek warmth indoors. We use natural and sterile methods to treat the cabin, but occasional sightings or signs of mice may still occur. ❄️ Ice & Snow: Icy conditions are common in colder months. We do our best to salt and shovel walkways, but some ice may remain. Please use caution when walking outside during these times. 🕸️ Spiders & Webs: In this remote wooded setting, spiders are prevalent. We clear webs before each guest’s arrival, especially around the exterior, but they often rebuild quickly due to the natural environment. By confirming your stay, you accept and understand these conditions as part of the authentic and rustic Northern Maine experience. 🌲🏡 Parking maximum is 4 vehicles, or 2 trucks towing sled trailers. This cabin was everything we hoped a winter getaway would be and more. From the moment we walked in, it felt peaceful and welcoming, with huge windows all around that framed the snowy landscape like living artwork. Every morning we woke up to the most breathtaking views, and every evening the sky seemed to put on a show just for us.We spent two full days skiing nearby, and there was nothing better than coming back tired and happy, kicking off our boots, and gathering around the fire to play games together. The beds were unbelievably comfortable, which made those deep winter sleeps even sweeter. We loved wandering out to explore the frozen lake, crunching through the snow and then simply sitting still to take it all in. It was quiet in the best way, the kind of quiet that lets you breathe deeper. This cabin was not just a place to stay, it was a cozy, memory-making winter retreat for our family. We left feeling rested, connected, and already talking about coming back.
We truly enjoyed the camp and deck; had everything we needed. The only complaint would be the limited access to the water. We were unable to climb down the banking to get to the water which was a bummer as our grandson really wanted to fish. We did visit the association beach, and it was beautiful.
